This thread is being created so people -- generally, those people who can't seem to resist talking about off-topic junk in the Target coupon thread -- have a place to talk about shopping at Target and other miscellaneous matters.

All you folks who hang out in the Target coupon thread, start hanging out here instead! When you've got something relevant to post about Target coupons, please post about it in the Target coupon thread! We'd love to hear about it, but NOT about your dog, your cat, your mom, your genital herpes, your... well, you get the idea.

Dia~ I think it's a lovely gesture. If it makes you feel too forward, I would stop in when you know they are working and say "You know I thought of you the other day when I was packing away some of my baby clothes." Then see how they react. I'm sure they will be thrilled. I flew solo for quite a while and appreciated everything I received. Even when I got remarried, I always told friends to let me pick through things before they donated them.
I have a "friend" that would cringe at the thought of used clothing Roll Eyes (Sarcastic) That didnt bother me one bit as that meant more for me nod I second what someone else said ~ they will only think it's weird if they are weird.

Ank~ I wish I had an answer. Madelyn Grace is 17 months and still nursing. She is the only of of my 4 children that I nursed. I have weened all of the daytime feedings unless they are relaxing...like naps. So basically I transitioned to only nursing in the bed. It makes life easier for both of us. Keep us posted.
Your envie went out again the other day. Hope is gets there quick!

Teri~ congrats on the house

Who was it that needed the hotels.com code? BFShopGirl? I've been searching as I doubt I will use my code.

DS is doing fabulous. He probably felt well enough to return to school but no way was I putting other kiddos at risk. His teacher wrote me and said the school nurse is being overly cautious too and treating every flu symptom like the swine flu, since technically it isn't flu season yet. So I hope other parents keep their sick kids home too. I mean they have a doctors excuse so no need to send them to school earlier than advised.
I posted on my facebook and was surprised that several children of distant friends have had it as well. I got comments like "Caleb was better in 3 days" and "Isabelle had it and they said give her Tylenol and keep her home for a few days" So I feel much better about it. The rest of us feel just fine, thankfully Pray

On the topic of wags, I actually tried doing a large run with theraflu in it and used both IVCs today - they both worked woot It's been a good week for wags! Now if only I could roll into GCs, I'd be Cloud9 - I can occasionally get away with a book of stamps in a run, so that is my goal for next week (stamps, stamps, stamps)
Ah, good idea for next week! I wanna get the Purell, so will prob get a few of those if I can. Putting stamps in the order would be great!! nod I tried it once before and it was no go, but will try again!!

When my mom was pregnant with my brother 23 years ago she was at risk for pre-term labor. The Dr. told her she could go on meds or have a small glass of wine every night before bed. She choose the wine. I wish my Dr. would tell me that!!!

I think this is a great idea. As soon as I found out we were having a girl I started going through all 17 bins of newborn-3T boy clothes. I took some of the really nice stuff to consignment, but the rest I separated into 3 giveaway piles. 1 for a girl my MIL works with whose husband is military, 1 for someone DH works with whose wife is pregnant and 1 with older kid stuff for my friend with an almost 2 year old. Everyone was so happy about the clothes. My MIL's friend wanted to mark them so she could return them to me after she used them. I was like - no, no, no, no... this is IT for us. I don't ever want to see any of those clothes again! laugh out loud

So something weird is definitely going on at my KM.

Tonight my Glade 01s all beeped for price. They were the only 01s I used in my order, and all items were identical. After almost going down the tubes, that run ended up going OK, but I don't know WTF is going on there. Last week (when my Kleenex Qs beeped) my Glades and all other 01s were fine.

Oh, and this was kind of an laugh out loud even though it also sucked: I did a 2nd order to flip a $12 CRT into a GC and used the Special K deal to do it. Cashier could not get the computer to accept my CRT, and then could not get it to take any of my MQs after the 1st. I just wanted to get the heck out of there so I paid w/GC and left. When I looked at my receipt later, I realized it was because she had only scanned 1 of my 5 boxes of cereal. Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)

Anyway, I don't know if this is something like T's updates where they are spreading out, or if I'm just that unlucky, but that's what's going on.

Oh and Nikayla, I did experience what you PM'd me about, with overage Qs triggering pop-up boxes as well with non-identical multiple items. Mad
Is this just during doubles or outside of doubles as well? I have not been to K in forever but there are 3 when I move home. I was hoping to lose alot of weight and shop for some size 01's.

I think after some digging around, you might be able to shed that guilt. Although the length of time in human milk mimics the length of time in the blood, the amount and the method difer.

Of course, this is referring to moderate drinking.

Hey guys -

I would like your opinions on a non-target question for a sec -

I know three girlies who are all due around the end of Nov/beginning of December.

I have a bunch of gently used and new baby/toddler clothes boy & girl that I have nicely boxed up - and as much as I desperately want 1 more I don't think that will happen for a long time ... if at all ... so, I thought rather than have the clothes sit and rot it would split it up between them.

1 girl I have known a long time and so she is easy - I will just send her an assortment of boy & girl as she is having twins.

The other two are not friends per say - but two really nice YOUNG girls who I see working behind the counter of MacD's & WAGS and they are ALWAYS polite and I would like to give them some stuff as well. I know they are both having boys - it is a first for each of them and with the young lady at MacD's I think she is flying solo on this mission (reminds me of me with my first.)

Anyway - would it be really weird if I put together two boxes with a collection of these clothes, baby toys, blankets & a pack of diapers/wipes each? If y'all think it is too weird I can mail all of them to the gal I know having the twins ... but I just would like to help these two girls out as well ... but I am worried ... is it just too weird?

TIA guys!
I think they would greatly appreciate anything that you do give them. I know I would when I had Mini and DH and I were not together.

Hey - anyone know Mofo's snailmail addy I have B2G1 Deer Park Q's for her ---- and a weird recollection that she posted that she wouldn't be around much due to her new job? I just want to get them out to her so she can use them ----- If I imagined that Mofo please ignore my crazy ramblings LOL

Pff - I am waiting for your addy too I have your Crest Q's Smilie
Yes, it was Mofo and I do have her snail mail addy around here somewhere. Lemme look and I'll PM ya with what I come up with.

I had a similar experience tonight at K. A small box would come up on the bottom right hand side of the screen (I couldn't read what ir said though) and she would have to input price. then the normal pop-up box came up and she had to select the right product there as well. It sucks...luckily she was so distacted that she didn't read the name of the product when scanning my Kleenex q : D I plan on hitting 3 different K's tomorrow, it will be interesting to see what happens at the other stores. I was at one on Monday and used the same q, it otto'd, but my cashier was a Reading Rainbow graduate and adjusted it accordingly. Frown
Let us know what happens.

Not at all. I agree with most everyone else. Maybe feel them out a little, like "I've got some extra baby items; could you use some clothes and diapers?" Make it seems like they're doing YOU a favor by taking the stuff off your hands. Smilie

Anyway - I was in the house *maybe* 15 minutes, ran back out to the car and found the ashtray open and all but $8 gone. :m ad: Mad Mad That was my grocery and deal money until this next friday. I've got ribs for the girls' bday celebration today but no other meat stuff or side stuff for the rest of the week! I'm so angry. I figured I'd be okay because my Kroger would take the RR's (1 per transaction), but last night I stopped in and they said they no longer take them. This is *not* my week. I'm Pray for some good meat deals. I'm making bread today and figure we can do some grilled cheese sandwiches tomorrow. I've got a couple of pieces of chicken left from last night that I'll make into a soup. After that - I'm all out of veggies too. *sigh*

Could it be a barcode thing? Maybe scanning the wrong one?

That's about the only deal stuff my brain can handle. I can't get CVS, Kmart, or anything else down.

Question for all you experienced BF mom's... My youngest is now 2 and still demands to nurse. I used to think I'd be one of those relaxed mom's that just let my kids nurse til they quit, but she has this tendency to try to nurse and use me as a jungle gym at the same time. It's no longer a comfy or edifying experience, but short of never sitting down, I can't seem to get her to leave me alone and transition/wean. Any advice?
On the car thing, so sorry! You know I know how you feel. Frown Since it's food for your family couldn't some money be shifted from somewhere else in the budget?

KM--no, she was only scanning the left barcode. Frown

BFing-- I'm not "experienced" but I can tell you a friend/colleague who does EBF told me the other day that her 5 year old still tries to nurse (and is denied, but still). I know they are just now transitioning the girl into her own bed, so that may be part of the issue as well.

I think a little tough love may be in order here. hug

I just found out that the SILs garage (that is ATTACHED TO THE HOUSE) was broken into again (this is the 3rd time) and all they EVER get is stuff from the freezer. She had ground chuck, Smithfield Bacon, Tennessee Pride Sausage, chicken, steaks, and shrimp in it this time. She's hopping mad Ranting that the Police show up but act like they couldn't care less.

First time they came in thru the door (oldest niece forgot to lock it for the night),
Second time they took items off the back porch (didn't make it to the freezer... door locked, windows shut).
Last night they came in through a window that she had opened (and left open) and they cut the screen.

It makes me Cold to think they are that close to everyone in the house. I've suggested that they do their own camera recording on the weekend, as it has never happened during the week. With a brood of 12, she really doesn't need to be scared to be in her own house and now what about what to FEED the brood for the next couple of weeks?

I know it's late tonight, but if you plan to go tomorrow, here's some ideas:

The Fusion and the HE are rolling into themselves.

12.00 - 3 Theraflu
1.00 - halls
-6.00 Wags Q
-7.00 Vaseline RR
0.00 oop + tax
Get 8.00 and 1.00 RR
for WAGS
there are 2 IVCs for the theraflu and both work(different wags numbers on them) so if you buy 3 at 12.00, $6.00 comes off with one IVC and $6.00 comes off with the second IVC. If you have the 2.00 man Q's,- use those first for nice MM- and get an $8.00 cat back. I think this is a monthly deal- so should keep working. some have reported finding peelies on the theraflu. There are also bonus boxes with extras. This is similar to the robi deal last year

laugh out loud Can you imagine going to confession and saying, "I had a drink while nursing."

Meanwhile my doctor encouraged me to drink some dark ale beers to stimulate my milk to come in. (It was 4 days!)

too many people saying too many different things!
