This thread is being created so people -- generally, those people who can't seem to resist talking about off-topic junk in the Target coupon thread -- have a place to talk about shopping at Target and other miscellaneous matters.

All you folks who hang out in the Target coupon thread, start hanging out here instead! When you've got something relevant to post about Target coupons, please post about it in the Target coupon thread! We'd love to hear about it, but NOT about your dog, your cat, your mom, your genital herpes, your... well, you get the idea.

That is crazy.. It is a surrogate group.. you should be able to talk about all things baby! ...... I tell ya these video game folks.. I don't get it ...
WHAT SHE SAID!!!!!!! nod Now as far as the games I don't get them either --- but we didn't have them when I was little ... my folks were the no tv (except once a week on Sundays for Carl Sagan's Cosmos) and no vid games --- no barbies, no junk food ... LOL So I missed the game craze! LOL

Meg, Meesh & Love - what do you think of the DS? We do not have one and I am looking at getting a video game system for the lil guy - is DS for lil ones or should I stick with a leapster 2 I am thinking of getting? Which is more appropriate for the 5 - 6 year old? Thanks!

Whee I have a coffee pot!!! Whee THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!! ----- I'm in a "don't wanna do nuffin" mood today. Funny thing - I've actually gotten 3 loads of laundry done, took a 20 min. nap, emailed hubby 3x, got through teaching oldest DD her lessons for the day, read every single book my toddler owns (some twice,) managed to only take the dog out once (pawned it off on the oldest the rest of the time), and am now sitting here reading the boards. Not sure how that happened.
Whooo Hooo! What a day! You have been MOTIVATED! I have only gotten thru 2 loads!!! Glad you got your coffee maker - Dpags ROCKS! Actually the folks on here (I won't say Ladies since we do have some lovely chaps with us) are GREAT!!!!!!! I am so glad you have coffee again!!!!! Hope you have a wonderful rest of the week WINDSHIELD WISHES!!!!!

PS - The TRU rewards is a free program where you sign up for a card with your name/addy and then everytime you make a purchase they swipe the card and you collect points ... every so many points is worth a TRU Reward Buck - once you have accumulated enough of them they mail some rewards cards to you and you can then use to purchase other items in the store. There are the typical exclusions - such as GC, Diapers, Formula, etc. But if you purchase a number of toys they can be useful.

Meesh - I thought I as doing well by getting $20 in TRU Rewards bucks ROFL ... I am obviously a slacker!!!!

Remembered that I offered to send anyone any Qs from this book, as I have lots, but NO ONE took me up on it. Time is of the essence if you still want these.
I appreciated the offer!!! I didn't take you up on it because I knew I wouldn't be purchasing a ton of toys and we got one of the catalog's in our local paper and I was given one at customer service when I asked for one. I took you up on the last offer of the Quaker coupons - and they went to GOOD USE Smilie Thanks again K!!!! hug

Forgot to mention, I exchanged one of my games from the b2g1 for Super Mario. She asked me if the games were the same price and I said yes, so she pushed a button that allowed for an even exchange. Basically, she sold me the new Super Mario Bros for $33 (return value of the Toy Story one I returned). I was happy!
Very cool!!!! Glad you were able to exchange it! Is the new Super Mario game a good one?

Hey There anyone have any extra Chinet Q's they would like to trade Smilie LOL

PS - Lisa how are things going for you on the job front?

Mofo - How is your DH hanging in with the job sitch?

There's also TRU rewards you get from their credit card. . . she may have the card to get that many. Smilie My DH signed up for it when we were buying a ton of furniture there for the little guy 'cause we got 10% off our total purchase.

Wow, great memory! Slow going here. Have a number of applications I am waiting to hear back on, including the one I would be perfect for, but 100's of people apply for jobs with the county. I even went so far as to apply at the local grocery store, especially since even Target won't call me in for an interview!!! Frown

I'll weigh in on this too. We got my son the DS for his 5th bday and he loves it. Same games meesh said.
Super Mario looks fun, it has old school Mario on it too I guess - which you wouldn't know about, sorry!

DH is doing ok...he has a job offer that can start in February with a company he worked for 3 years ago. So that seems to be the direction he is heading.

Don't get me started on what you can't bring to school any more Mad

Thanks!! You have the best memory ever!! LMAO I appreciate the awesome wishes!! Yeah my house is NUTS!! I buy way too much than wonder why I am always cleaning.. so I am making them donate tons of toys from last year and year before...

The leapster 2 is more educational but in my opinon I don't want to press them too much to learn 24/7... I buy lots of educational stuff but hey Christmas is for the kids to have a riot and I am sure the DS would make them have an awesome time... and Black Friday it is only 98 at Wal-mart!! I cannot even send any of the kids with Capri Suns, no fruit snacks, no gogurts as all this stuff can make a mess.. I thought thats what they did in kindergarden... and they only go from 12-3... so I can't imagine it being that horrid... oh well LOL

LJ is a non-sleeping lots of crying little baby. I do enjoy the 5 minutes of smiles he gives me between naps.

Ok, totally random....

DH is an only child and has helped his parents for a while. His credit stinks now Frown
I've been divorced twice so you know how that goes.

I would love to help him repair his credit. Any suggestions?
We only owe 9 years and 9 months on our house woot

No "major" bills have ever been late. Mostly a couple of credit cards he had before we got married. He eventually just gave up on them. His Mom was supposed to pay them. It's kind of a sore subject for him. Comfort

I would estimate the total debt to be around $4,000. Not much, but enough to ruin his credit. I wanted to call the companies and set up a repayment or something but will this repair his credit? Im sure it will help but does anyone have any experience or advice?

He recently got laid off so I am just being proactive here. Not much I can do financially but looking for advice
