Yeah, you know-we've dealt with "the sky is falling" for over 2 years, so I don't take stock in it unless one of you guys has an incident, KWIM? There were days when the registers didn't work right even though I had the correct items and good coupons, but they are very isolated incidents.
Yeah I usually have 2 tabs open, FB and SD! LOL
My stores have mostly been super q friendly but I just haven't been feeling shopping lately and I am started to get more and more reluctant with all these reports. I need to get out and glah day before next Wednesday though, need the GC's for BF!
I haven't done this much cleaning since I started couponing....which leads me to wonder why once I started couponing my house seemed to suffer. I used to be ocd about my house, until I found coupons

Hey guys.. Stay FAR away from ebay seller nannabearstreasures I complained that she charged me $6 for shipping 60 coupons. She sent me a completely empty envelope... sent it with DC to cover her butt with paypal.. but as soon as I saw it was empty, I returned to sender with out opening!
That really sucks about the coupons. I hope you get everything refunded.
Oh, and I propose that the theme song for the deals thread be: "It's the end of the world as we know it" - for the love of monkeys, wtf is wrong with people over there!

Anyway, just wanted to put that out there. I think some people who are having problems may bring it on themselves, you know? If you act confident, like you know what you're doing and you're not expecting problems, then 9 times out of 10, you're going to be fine. But if you project an air of uncertainty, of guilt even, then you're putting the cashier on notice and he will scrutinize everything.

I know one thing though, the pricematching this is going to be a tricky situation-my bff found the Mindflex in stock at T today and wanted to pricematch with Kmart's ad this week since they are only $50 this week. Our cashier (who for everything!!!) told us he would hold the items at the CS desk and she had to drive to KM to get a hard copy of the ad even though he knew it was in the ad! He said they have really brought the hammer down on them about sale-ads, timed promos, etc. This store is VERY friendly and always has been. I can't imagine stores with rough LODs, etc
(oh, she did end up getting the ad, driving back and getting them for $50 per item! One for me, one for her

No T for me today. Went to KM to cash in some cpns. Left happy although annoyed it always takes so long in there.
Really hope my chinet cpns come tomorrow. Haven't gotten in on that deal yet this week.

I would estimate the total debt to be around $4,000. Not much, but enough to ruin his credit. I wanted to call the companies and set up a repayment or something but will this repair his credit? Im sure it will help but does anyone have any experience or advice?

Banks and credit card companies are hurting right now w/the recession, too. They want money. So they're extra willing to negotiate settlement offers in order to get *something* rather than keep waiting for nothing.
If the debt's a few years old, it's probably been charged off by the original creditor and sold to a third-party collection agency. Since they pay only pennies on the dollar for the value of that debt, the collection agency can take a settlement for half -- or even a third -- of the original debt and still be making a profit. Keep that in mind when negotiating.
If you do work out a settlement offer, get them to send it to you in writing, even if by snail mail. Make sure the written agreement specifies that these payments will satisfy the debt in full and that that information will be reported to the credit bureaus. (There's an incentive for collection agencies to make sure bad info gets reported to the credit bureaus; there's no such incentive to make sure the *good* info does. So double-check.)
