We hardly ever watch a movie. You'd think we'd watch more at home, since we have so many options. I'm usually watching a ballgame of some kind at night. Teehee We're too cheap to go to the theater, unless it's for a special occasion. We went for Valentine's Day last year to dine during the movie, & haven't been back since.

We like the Bourne series a lot. The bolded movies all sound good. I'll have to give DH the list. I'm not much for superhero movies, but DH likes them. Occasionally, I watch one to appease him. I don't think we've seen Public Enemy. I'll have to ask DH. If not, we'll try to watch that too. Thanks for all the suggestions.

I have the Kennedys on DVR & haven't gotten around to watching it yet. I should do that.

I love Julia Roberts. She was the star in some great movies, when I was young. I haven't seen any of her recent movies. I also like Jennifer Aniston okay. She seems to choose horrible movies though. She really needs to let someone else choose her movies for her.

Oh no, it sounds like I should avoid Hachi. Some commercials make me cry. When we watch what I consider a sad show/movie, my guys make fun of me for crying. Annoyed
Hachi is excellent. The story is about loyalty and it's fantastic. I'll have to say, that dog can act!

Enjoy your movie night! I like going to this one theatre up in Seattle near where DBF lives - they serve some pretty delish food while watching! I think there's one here, I hear it's close to where nerdi lives, but I've yet to go. Will definitely have to be a special occasion to go!

I feel that America is in love with Julia Roberts. But I don't like her. I never saw any of her movies until she appeared in Ocean's. I hate her laugh. And her lips are just too distracting. Especially the top lip with the implant. I can't take her seriously because of it. I watch people's lips when they talk and anything around it is going to distract me shake head I saw her in My Best Friend's Wedding, and she's just annoying in that. I've yet to see Erin Brockovich and Pretty Woman. I want to see Erin Brockovich though. But I don't think aside from those movies, Julia Roberts really has any good ones. She looks great in pretty dresses though!

I mentioned a few weeks ago changes were coming to the post office. One of my exSOs called me with more info. I left the note in my car, but here is what I recall.

January 27 is when the changes take place. First-class letter rate goes up to $0.46. Parcel Post will undergo a name change...Standard Post. Delivery Confirmation is no more. They are implementing USPS Tracking which will be free on Priority Mail and Standard Post. It can be purchased for First-Class Parcels and Media Mail. For those of you that purchased Del Con in the Post Office and are familiar with the green slips, there will not be a slip that you can keep. Your tracking number will be listed on your receipt. (It was actually always listed on the receipt.)

That is all I can recall from the conversation. He knew some other price changes too. Since the tracking will be free on Priority & Standard, I am guessing the price difference between the two may be a bit greater than it is now.
Thanks for the update.

i vaguely remember enjoying public enemy as well. the tourist is also fun (set in venice! :he art: )
i can't remember the last julia roberts film i liked... possibly the oceans series. you're right tho - i can watch pretty woman over and over - such a great movie.

don't watch magic mike. your DH will not appreciate it. that's something you watch on your own, if you want to see half naked beefy guys dance. i think it's set either in your town or somewhere close to you tho. a couple of my gf's and i watched it as a precursor to my bachelorette party, if that's any clue. : lol:

i keep wanting to order that sweater! it looks like ppl are buying it - soon it'll sell out in S and i won't be able to buy it. phew! :lo l: the shedding would be very annoying but i guess you could just wear black underneath.

oh, speaking of which - i forgot to mention yesterday when we were discussing bright pants and how you didn't want to look flashy wearing them. i usually wear colored pants with black or a likewise neutral color on top (grey, white). it's really just flipping the bright tee and jeans look. i have a lot of neutral colored tops bc i tend towards them, so it makes it pretty easy to put together outfits.
Thanks for the Magic Mike warning. It doesn't sound like a movie I would like either. The only (almost) nude body I want to see is my hubby's. I guess I'm a prude like that. Stick Out Tongue

We should all go ahead & buy that sweater to see what we think. If not, we may regret it. Scratchchin

You wear your colored pants like I do shorts. I'm almost convinced me to buy some pastel pants for Spring thanks to you all. I'm giving it some serious thought.

:hu gs: great to see you too! I have my induction date for Feb 1! :wo ot:
How exciting! Woot You're almost there. I'm happy for you.

Thanks, I love the inside. I see from azn's post that it's probably not reversible. I was planning to reverse it also.

We'll probably watch Hachi eventually. I'll be prepared to cry, & threaten my guys to not harass me about it. Big Grin

Our theater serves a full service meal in the Bistro. They have a full bar also. The seating is separate from the rest of the theater & you have to be 21 to dine there, while watching a movie.

My favorite Julia Roberts movie was Steel Magnolias. Mystic Pizza was a fun movie for teenagers, which I was at the time. I really liked Dying Young, Sleeping with the Enemy, Conspiracy Theory & The Pelican Brief also. Obviously, everyone liked Pretty Woman. I didn't realize she had gotten lip implants. Her lips have always been very full.

i just noticed the lace on my peplum dress is snagged, it now has a hole Frown i can reorder at the current price and return the snagged one with the new invoice, but i'm thinking that maybe it's not meant to be. i don't like delicate clothing, plus i am not sure if i'm really going to be able to wear it. i do like that it does something different to me because i look curvier in it.

the non-lace ones are cheaper and more wearable, but i got my lace for $28 Crying

I will let you know about the bag once I get it. I hope it's still reversible! I only said that because I see a snap button. Might be weird if it's seen on the outside.

I like the 21 + to dine places. The one at Seattle is just like that. Seating is still like stadium seating, but just separated more for them to come up and serve. nod Those are neat theatres!

Let me know about the movies and how you like them once you get around to watching them!

I must be a weird Asian. lol. Actually, I know I am. Smilie. I never grew up with the no shoes in the house rule.... So...I too rarely take my shoes off.... Even when I go to other Asian people's house... I know they notice.... But... Dontknow DBF's mom... The only thing she can complain about... Was me wearing shoes in her house, lol.... So now when I go over there, I take 'em off.... But... I'm usually wearing boots... And I'm heavily pregnant.... So I think she feels kind of bad now because it's her son who has to remove/put my shoes on for me....as there's no where for me to sit to do so myself! lol

Anyways... You girls have been unusually talkative in here. wave

I've been ordered on bed rest, so I'll probably pop in more often to check up on you. Ninja
Whee hi classy! Take care honey! Getting excited for you!

Two more weeks though, and she'll be here! I have my induction appointment already, but hopefully she'll show up on her own! woot

I tried it on in-store and it didn't shed. I think I'd buy the XS and wear it over camis...still a possibility!

It's funny how cultures can be so different. Everyone I knew growing up bought carpet based on how much dirt it would hide. laugh out loud No one took their shoes off. If anyone asked guests to, they would be offended & wouldn't visit that home again. My carpet is light & it's a pain. It's not nearly as bad as our white tile floors though. I don't know what the developer was thinking, when they designed our house. My floors have to be cleaned daily.

. . .
laugh out loud My mom is this way - I remember several times her being offended by that. Not a lot of Eastern cultures in the small WI town she grew up in. She didn't understand a lot of my friends from HS.

I wanted to tell you I wore the dark purple pants yesterday the way Nerdi mentioned them- with a neutral "nude" colored top and nude heels. My MIL had these pants at Thanksgiving and after I saw how she wore them, I loved it. Try a pair! I'm looking at 1 pair of pastels for spring/summer too.

Take it back. You'll look curvier in the other peplums too and they start at $24.90 so you'll get a great deal on it and won't be too sad when you wore it once and the trend was over. Comfort

Which size in the peplum do you like on you better?

I think I'm just returning my dress. It's a sign not to keep too many, especially if they'll go unworn.

I wasn't referring to the weird things. I was restraining myself from linking the nice things. Links put us all in trouble. But thanks for linking something I won't have problems resisting.

I wonder if we'd be able to resist when express puts new arrivals on sale.
