I am scared to drive in it when the weather gets bad. I try to stay at home when it gets bad here. I doubt I'll be able to do that there.

I like how it's not snowing here. I do miss it sometimes, but maybe like a week of light Utah snow. Don't like heavy snows of course and the cold gives me back aches.

Are you going to be right in Chicago or in the burbs?

I caught the house on fire one time doing that. The stupid restaurant wrapped my to go food in foil and then put it in a foam container. Next day I put it in the microwave and the next thing I knew is it was on fire.

Wait, did you get more news than what was in our PMs? Does DH know where his office will be now?

How do you all sign your child's birthday card or will you sign your grandchild's card, when you have one? My MIL just fulfilled one of her twice yearly obligations to acknowledge our DS. The other is Christmas. Anyway, I looked at the card she sent & she signed it with "Take Care". Confused Do I expect too much from her? Is it too much to expect her to at least pretend to love him? That's the way you sign a co-worker, distant relative, or acquaintance's card. Sometimes, I can't believe the things she does. She could have written, "Love, Pawpaw & Nana" or "We Love You" even if she didn't meant it. I'm glad my DS has a good dad, because his grandparents stink. Annoyed I can't figure out how my DH turned out the way he did, with parents like that. They're good at pretending to like DS & me in front of him though. shake head

thank you! i just ordered a bunch of tops. i wanted to get in before it stopped.
What did you order? I only ordered 2 peplum tops to use my code, because I wasn't prepared. BTW, which of the peplum tops you have tried have stretch fabric? The $39.90 black lace top is the only one I saw that says it's made out of stretch fabric. The others I looked at have spandex, but that doesn't automatically mean they'll have a lot of stretch in the fabric.

Quote from nerdicus :
still stacking as of now. i used my 2 coupons so i'm out.

wish they had sent me 2 sets of coupons this time like they did in the past! :n(
You did better than me. I bought the only coupon I had. I'll buy more next time.

Quote from ALVSGIRLY :
i ordered some things i've been wanting. i FINALLY got the blue peplum in my size with a sale and coupon :wo ot2:. been wanting it since thanksgiving. i also ordered the minus the leather peplum top. we will see if i'm wild enough to pull that beeotch off.
Whee

Quote from nerdicus :
oops i just realized i forgot the ivory peplum top i wanted. doh! i did everything too fast.

but it looks like i was right to rush thru it as they turned off the coupons soon after i used mine.
I want that top too. Hopefully, they'll restock the small sizes.

Quote from UsedToBeAJuliet :
They refused to honor the $30 off. I cancelled it since I had to pay for shipping which negates the deal. Do you girls know what will happen to my code? Is it gone gone?
Call to see if they'll send you another coupon. It doesn't seem right for them to deny it & take it from you.

Cute bottles! :dr ool: I'm sure he'll love it!

That's so strange about dress shirts :don tknow: Guess Porda has a superman DH and my DBF and his coworkers bust their elbows on their shirts on a constant basis. He says he's seen guys at work with holes in their elbows all the time. At least once a week :don tknow: Guess it's a running joke at his office about making elbow busting comments to the one another in passing.

Yeah, this friend's wedding has been a huge headache for DBF and I. In the beginning, we were arguing a lot because of it. And at the time, I kinda told my friend that she needs to get her stuff together for such a short engagement because her lack of responsibility for herself and expectations of others is really messing up things for other people :sha ke: I also told her fiance that he needs to step up but he just refused. :dontk now: Glad this is almost over! I just have to be her slave for the next two months and it'll be done and done!
Thanks for the cake comment.

Maybe, it's their job that causes the elbow holes. Confused This is the first time I've ever heard of that happening to anyone. Do they spend a lot of time at a desk leaning on their elbows?

The wedding will be over soon. hug You & your DBF need to remind each other you're on the same team. Regardless of what happens, you support each other. Sometimes, we just need our partner to acknowledge that.

I got the lace jacket too. I'd possibly wear that more, but the lapel on mine was folded wrong so I'll have to try to iron it if I want to keep it. I'm realizing I like the jackets that overlap in the front more and that those tend to have 2 buttons (like the teal herringbone one). I don't think I like the look of my shirt peaking out from the bottom of the jacket. True- they're not supposed to be form fitting. I need the teal herringbone skirt, what size did they have? That is very sweet of you to offer :blow kiss:
Quote from nerdicus :

I tuck in my shirt when wearing those jackets so it doesn't peek out.
I wasn't planning to tuck my shirt in, when I wear the black, lace jacket. I've worn tops out for so long that it feels strange to tuck them in. I guess I'll have to rethink that. Blush

From rmn there is a 15% off code 9070 that works on top of 30% off.
Thanks bounce

Quote from nerdicus :
yes it fits the same. i think it came in grey, teal, and raspberry herringbone. i will have to revisit the "good" store to see what sizes are left!

No. I probably think of downtown differently than you. I think if it as that little area where the loop is.

I wish they would pick a spot for an office and sign a lease because then I'd say it's 100 % official. The board has approved it all though so I guess it's official. It just won't seem official until they sign a lease for the office.

All the ones I've modeled were stretchy. That includes the black lace (39.90 one), the horizontal stripes one (that currently comes in black/white with blue trim and khaki/white with salmon trim), and the 24.90 cheap one. The black lace one is the longest of them all (so it's my favorite). The others have been a little short in the torso for me. I have my eye on the one with black and white stripes that goes into a V, but it also looks short so i haven't tried it on yet.

The ivory lace one - reviews say it is not for large chested ladies because it does not stretch. Keep that in mind - I haven't tried it yet.

About the elbows - this is the first I've heard of it too! My DH doesn't wear button down shirts ever, except when we go to weddings. It's probably work-related. That said, I don't find my elbows to be too worn on any of my shirts or coats and I definitely spend all day at a desk leaning on my elbows.

nope! it's not a huge day for DH and me. i will probably have to work. laugh out loud DH is also going camping all weekend so i'll probably be cooking for him.

I'm so excited for tomorrow. DBF was able to leave his conference in London early so he could spend Valentine's Day with me Smilie. He's coming in around 9 PM, and we're going to go to a wine bar I really like. I can't believe he did that for me.

I don't always tuck in my shirt. Only when I wear pencil skirts and slacks. I rarely tuck in my shirt when I wear jeans.

I have yet to try the lace jacket with jeans tho. I'd have to see how it looks with a shirt peeking out underneath. I've only worn it to work with a pencil skirt and tucked in top.

i don't have work thursdays, but dh does.
when dh and i were back home (not yet married), we made sure not to go out on valentine's day. there's just too many people out, it's crowded everywhere.

i bought older ds some spongebob valentine candies. it'll be a surprise for him when he wakes up tomorrow.
