Yes, very true. Sometimes we forget that.
I have no idea, but I know I don't lean on my elbows to cause the elbow bursting? It is worse and usually starts on the right than the left (I'm right handed). I'm almost inclined to think that DBF and his coworkers must make similar hand motions to burst them elbows or something.

I don't know about the care, but I sign "Take Care" to close friends when I write emails to people I don't see/talk to much cause I want them to take care of themselves til next time we speak. I don't ever write "love, hugs/kisses" or anything like that. Even to DBF, I just draw a heart. "Best" is what I write to acquaintances and not so close friends. Even when I used to write cards to my grandparents, I never wrote "love" just something like "to health and happiness." I never received "love" from Grandparents either. And I adored my grandparents and I know they adored me. So I'm not sure if there's an etiquette to that. Wish I can help.

This may not be the right place to ask, but just by chance, does anyone have one of the 20/50 REI mailer coupons? I'd love to buy a backpack. I'm a member but stupidly throw away my coupons generally.

Sorry for the interruption. DH & I are watching services for the Riverside police officer killed by that crazy guy. The service was so moving and to see all the people line the streets. Frown I called on RPD several times when I lived there and a few times, an officer gave me his "direct line" in case the guy casing the vacant condos came back. His name was Mike (same as this guy) and while it's a popular name, some part of me thinks it might be him. Either way, just so sad to see his wife and 2 young kids...and moving to see the community lining the streets for the processional.

I'm going to see dh and we're going exploring this wekend. He want to take me out but I'd rather just explore and not do anything fancy. Tomorrow night I'll just be with ds. That's pretty normal for me though.

Thanks for the info. I won't obsess stalking the ivory top now. I ordered the cheap peplum top in coral along with the black lace. The khaki/white stripe top is in my cart waiting for me to add to it. The V stripe top is really cute too. I want them all, but how many peplum tops do I really need? Teehee

I suppose it bothers me more knowing she always tells DH she loves him on the phone & on cards. It's not like the idea is foreign to her. I have one sister who never says, "I love you" to anybody. She'll say "me too", but never "I love you". We all know how she is & don't expect it from her. She doesn't need to verbalize it for us to know how she feels. If that were the case with my inlaws, I would understand. I guess I'm just fed up with them & let everything get to me too much. It has gotten to the point to where we've pretty much shut them out of our lives, so she doesn't cause us marital problems. I just hate it for my DS that she doesn't treat him like the others. Oh well, DS didn't mention it, so I need to let it go.

speaking of which, i was watching an old movie (last days of disco with kate beckinsale) and saw a peplum dress! Coverlaugh made me think of you when you said you remember the last time they were popular.

Perhaps your DS is just accustomed to how his grandparents treat him, so perhaps he doesn't expect too much? I know if I were a parent, I'd want the best for my child, so I understand where you're coming from. If your DS isn't too worried, then he may not have even noticed. No use worrying about it too much because I'm sure your DS knows how much he's loved with all the love that you guys shower him with!

I know this is probably a bit b!tchy but it bothers me that the moms in our subdivision drive their mini vans to the entrance to pick up their kids. It just erks me on pretty days because I think it's pure laziness plus a little exercise wouldn't hurt them either.

I love your DS's cake idea, and I'm sorry you're having problems with your inlaws.

DBF is such a keeper....SUCH a keeper, and I probably don't even deserve him. I don't talk about him much here, but I've started talking about him a little more recently. We've been together three years now, and though he has his flaws, it is so apparent that he loves me...and we are really a great match for each other.

I've never been so excited for a Valentine's Day...and I keep reminding him how much this means to me, so I know he's feeling pretty good about himself as well Big Grin
