i got my wool asymmetric jacket from express clearance. it has minus the leather collar. i love it! i would buy more exp coats from now on because of it, but i'll just be wasting my money i don't need a lot of warm coats here!

eta: i'm starting to miss my 2 fave vs coats... makes me feel better my little sis has them.... who is moving from michigan to texas soon

Yeah, I love it.

I cut the slip out so I could wear the lace part as a coverup. That's a packing bonus- a 2 in 1 piece

IMO, looks a lot better than other lace coverups I had also bought that were pretty shapeless. Now to return those and get my moola back!

I'm in Cologne, Germany at the moment. I was in Luxemborg yesterday. I have actually seen more getaway bags than you have...and being carried by Europeans! So funny about these Getaway bags, they stand out like crazy. I haven't seen the one from last year (bright solid pink) at all. Which tote did you see- the pink tote with red sequin stripes? Have fun!

In both Maui and Kauai, they did extra screening for everyone - one airport everyone in our line had their bag completely emptied and sent through twice

I don't have a lot of flesh on the bottom of my feet so they can get bruised if I'm on asphalt or concrete all day. I think these insoles helped distribute my weight better so I wouldn't be hitting the same spots on my feet when I walked. I know what you're talking about with the Reefs. My Gingers were the ones that cut between my toes when they were wet and my feet were still tender from an ocean romp. For whatever reason, even with the molded foam supporting my foot, the Gingers hurt my arch if I use them for 2 days straight. Don't know why

cute! i feel like there were a bunch of coats released late december and then clearanced really soon afterwards - and they were all higher quality than the ones released prior. i love my asymmetrical one too! too bad it's 1000 degrees here today (actual: mid 90s).

that sounds horrible. i never want to travel with you.

bruising on the bottom of your feet?! that's horrible. your feet must be much more bony than mine... while i might bruise the tops of my feet (lots of metatarsals sticking out up top) the bottoms are fine.

reefs - i like thick straps bc they're more comfortable. i wore out a few pairs of seaside [zappos.com] (you could see a large indentation of the balls of my feet on them) and had a pair of the slap [zappos.com] (or something very similar) that were super duper comfortable - i'm talking walk 8 miles a day around europe (every day for weeks!) comfortable. i think the 2nd pair i wore through rain and it was perfectly fine. i also have the sandy [zappos.com] but i haven't put those through as much walking. they run smaller so the ones i have are a tad small for my feet.

try the thicker straps! they probably give you more support.

i was planning to take the getaway bag with me because they seem to be the right size from being away from home for 3-5 days. pretty sure there'll be a lot of them in asia too. guess i'll rethink it. i don't seem to have another option though... do i? any of yall remember something bigger i may probably have gotten from vs in the past?

i already packed some stuff in mine for this weekend! we're travelling by car to a rented house tho - no one but my friends will see it.

There was a big and boxy pink striped tote in the past. That doesn't have a zipper, but IMO, it is perfect for a weekend out. I bring that one with me often.

I only use my VS bags when I travel by car. I don't want them to get all dirty. I guess for a plane ride you can put it up top is ok. I have a pink color one that I started using, great weekend size one.

I was watching the news one night and they were showing this guy that ripped off stuff at a mall. I realized it was a mall I shop at. He would sit in the mall and then around closing time would dress like someone that worked there and take stuff. I guess he has been getting away with this for a while now at different malls.
