About the children...I live very close to a preschool. I can hear kids screaming at the top of their lungs once every hour. This goes on for 15-30 minutes. Currently happening now. The teachers just let them run wild and let them shriek like there is no tomorrow. The fate of mankind is doomed if that's how kids are being educated from the start. Yes, it's recess, but dang it, they don't need to scream.every.single.minute.

I think if it were a constant drone of noise I would like it better than the one girl... like when it's a crowd of people it can become background noise. Can we trade? Tongue One girl here screams like someone's pulling her toenails out one by one - that crap is just stupid and IMO dangerous for her mom to let her do - how do I distinguish that from "Help, someone is trying to abduct me!" ?? Angry I feel like we're biologically tuned to respond to that pitch... and when she abuses that during play, it dulls my internal alert system Scratchchin You should have seen us looking at a house last weekend... I was Drool over double-paned windows. laugh out loud

What does B&M stand for?
How long did it take for the 20%? Can't find the code searching Doh laugh out loud.

B&m means brick and mortar as in an actual store vs online.

So true! And it's quite difficult to make even a dent in a shadow or blush, let alone finish one. It's also a catch 22 - if you finish one you must REALLY like it... So you'll need to replace your favorite shadow.

I hear ya about the noise. Bothers the heck out of me too. It's weird - I've had more interactions with babies lately (I must be that age) and none of my friends' children scream like that. Dontknow hopefully if I become a parent I'll know how to control my child and teach them not to be annoying.

I thought liquid > powder? That's always the impression that I had. Perhaps because to me powdered formula = melamine after what happened a few years ago.

I'm scared of using liquid formula.. DH's mom has mentioned several times about how when he was little, he would projectile vomit every time she gave him liquid formula.. Don't know if it'll happen to DS, so I'm using powdered enfamil infant right now, I have similac advance for later, and a bunch of gerber goodstart

Every single time I've gone to the doctors office for the baby's well visits, (2 weeks, 1 month, 2 months, 4 months and now this 6 month visit) I've asked for formula samples. They give me 2-3 8oz powder cans .. each can lasts 2 days approximately after I reconstitute it. I'd say that amounts to almost a month of free formula.. Smilie They've given me free playtex bottles and drop in samples for them, but I haven't used them, and now that the nipple speed has changed, I'll probably donate them..

Do they still send those gerber coupons? Ds didn't like it so I either gave it away or donated. He liked the powdered enfamil. I bought it at sams or Costco once my stock pile ran out.

CG told me to sign up for emails, coupons, mail, etc from the formula brands.. I hadn't done so originally, but I'm very glad I did... So Similac sent me a big formula sample box, Enfamil sent me a huge stash of newborn nursette bottles (I donated them, since they were for newborn to 3 months) and then when DS turned 3 months old, Enfamil sent infant liquid bottles (came as a surprise Smilie), and both companies have been sending formula checks $5 each, which combine with the coupons $2 in the circular for similac and $5 coupons for enfamil on their website linked to my email address.. so formula from enfamil comes out to under $10 for a canister, and practically free, if I buy the handy to-go packets which are less expensive that I use for my purse when I'm out.

I didn't sign up for gerber coupons, but I somehow received a few in the mail Dontknow

Also, Similac was the shadiest company as far as how they do their marketing research. I signed up for Similac coupons and spelled my name wrong purposely, a variation of my name just so I'd know what I signed up for. Lo' and behold, a few weeks later, I get a thing regarding a US National Study on formula and breastfeeding, was called "National Institute of Infant Nutrition".. spelled to that mispelling of my name.. asking me to help with National Research on formula..
