Yeah, I'm one of those crazy "learn it all, from the theory/ground up" kind of folks. If I'm gonna try, I'm gonna start with the fundamentals, no matter how boring they might be. I have absolutely NO skill right now, and I'm gonna have to develop some while I'm learning. Knowledge is power, ya know?

I did learn the basic scales that I mentioned, but when I do play lead (which I'm not great at) it's pretty much all by feel laugh out loud
Back in 2000-2001 I started putting on any music (from classical to Dido) and trying to play lead over it, and kept doing that until I sounded good. I'm very much not the fast-lick shredmaster, but very melodic and emotional.

Given that red meat and dairy affect your, um, "taste" (you know what I'm talkin' about here) negatively, and fresh fruits have a positive impact on said flavor... can one assume that veggie vag is more deliciouser than carnivore cat?

Inquiring minds want to taste. yummy Anyone have anecdotal evidence to share?

When I started off playing, I learned chords first. Then playing some simple songs. It wasn't until later that I actually picked up scales and started being able to "jam". I found it more satisfying to be able to make sense of what I was playing sooner, rather than learn theory and scales and triads and all other such things.

Yeah, I wish I had a decent keyboard to learn the basics first, but this deal at Monoprice was too good to let pass me by. It's a red Strat model, by the way.
