best way to keep kids from wanting tattoos.

bring them to the beach where LOTS of people have tattoos. point out the older ones and use terms like patina copper and prison tats.

job done.

If you ever want a top job where you will need to gain or hold respect, or any decent job where you are the face of the company, those visible tats will instantly kill your chances.

I've known a few good guys who could do a lot better, but when you are in big.business and dealing with millions of dollars and mostly stuffy professionals, those tattoos on your neck are a business killer Frown So.they stay stuck in the lower rungs.

Also, world-wide people arent so huge on tattoos, so good luck dealing or selling anything to people who believe that only criminals have them!.

If you want to be unique, get one thats hidden and you'll do fine!
The same could be said about overweight people or smokers. If you show no pride in yourself, why would you be expected to do a good job? Everyone can be judged on some aspect of their life. This is why jobs should be given based on talent and skill, not superficial criteria.

Agreed, that lipstick is a horrible color.

That'll never happen. People instantly make dozens of snap judgments about a person the second they meet them based entirely on their appearance.

Your weight, your age, tattoos, piercings, hell, even how much makeup you wear as a woman - all of it can affect your job potential.

While I agree, things like tattoos shouldn't matter, but they do.

My brother works for a financial services company; he manages over 40 people and a few billion in assets, and he has a TON of tattoos. But the second he puts on his suit every morning, every single one is covered. He won't get a tattoo that would ever be visible in his work attire. He's realistic. He knows a visible tattoo would hurt his career.

While that may not be true for every profession, if you're in business where you often have to meet clients, it's certainly a lot more likely.

As long as we're making baseless assumptions lets take a look at the choice you made for your user name. What does your user name say about you?
Very intelligent, very clever and witty, and hip as all heck.

I love America! Capitalism at its finest. You forgot my avatar btw, that represents the money that I like to earn. I love it!

So based on your user name I can already tell that you're uneducated, have self esteem problems, and you are in no way driven. Why would I ever hire you? The choice you made for a user name clearly tells me what kind of person you are. Or am I wrong, and should we not make stupid assumptions about people we don't know.
I don't want you to hire me, because I'm the boss. I don't get hired I do the hiring. worship

Nope, still making money! I need to get back at it. Thank you for the inspiration. The only reason why I've gone back in this thread is because of those darn little green boxes that pop up on my screen. Thanks Mal for adding to the problem. laugh out loud
