WTF Macy's why would you not carry the plus size dresses in your stores? Not one store in the greater Seattle area had any of the 12 dress styles I checked on in stock, regardless of color!
So out of frustration and a lack of trust in Macy's stock system, I ordered the same dress in three different sizes, hoping one of them will be the right fit.

I asked an associate in Dillard's where the smaller sizes were and she said try "Juniors". Anyone with half a brain knows that the only people that can wear girl's junior clothing are teenage boys and q-tips with eyeballs.
Long story short, if you wear a 4,6 or 8, and you can't afford to fly to New York and shop, you better be prepared to go all Little House on the Prairie and make your own clothes.

And clothing sizing is all farked up. Sometimes I need a 6 sometimes I need a 10 or 12 (typically fancier clothes run smaller). So according to that theory anyone bigger than me is plus sized. It's a crock.

Sometimes I'm 12. Maybe 10 if I'm lucky. And then I don't know how, but some clothes fit best at size 8
I can't shop online for clothes, unless I already know for certain what size I am in that brand and style. And shopping in a store takes forever because I have to try on every freaking thing. Can't just go "Oh that's nice! And it's my size! Let's go!" I have to grab a few in different sizes, and usually I get frustrated and tired, give up and go home with nothing.
Maybe just socks.
