WTF Macy's why would you not carry the plus size dresses in your stores? Not one store in the greater Seattle area had any of the 12 dress styles I checked on in stock, regardless of color! Ranting

So out of frustration and a lack of trust in Macy's stock system, I ordered the same dress in three different sizes, hoping one of them will be the right fit.

Nice dress! This probably won't be of any help now but in the future, you might try Kiyonna. They advertise as plus size but they go from size 10 to 32. Their dresses are cut for a curvier figure which would probably work well for someone who's busty. You would probably fit the 0X size. I've found that their stuff runs very true to their size chart.

Also, there's always Gwynnie Bee (also sizes 10-32) which is like Netflix, but for clothes. Some people can't get over the ick factor of wearing clothes that have been worn by someone else but they clean their clothes carefully between shipments and it's not any less gross that trying on clothes in a store, IMO. I did a free trial and I loved being able to try clothes that I otherwise wouldn't have purchased because of the upfront cost and being afraid they wouldn't fit.

Huh. They say that the average woman is a size 14 but according to that, the average woman should wear a size 18, at least according to Lane Bryant [lanebryant.com] and Old Navy [gap.com].

No, I'm referring to the commonly spouted statistic that the average woman wears a size 14 but this data compiled by the CDC shows that's obviously not true and the average woman actually wears a size 18, or somewhere close to that.
