Sounds like I'm going to have to download these, I've heard too many people say it was a compelling storyline....
Do you use a Kindle app or have a Kindle? I can lend it to you, I think.

I really, really loved the series as a whole. Sometimes the narrator would go off on tangents and I would kind of skip through it, but I still never felt like putting the book down. I read all 3 really quickly when I wasn't studying for the CPA exam.

Aw, free would be awesome, but I have the pandigital e-reader that uses BN. So they aren't lendable. Thanks for the offer though.

THEN I have the whole George R. R. Martin series to read b/c I finally watched "Game of Thrones" on HBO so now I need to read the books. laugh out loud That should keep me busy for a while! Whee
Yep, I finished watching the show not too long ago and felt a bit confused. There are so many characters! So now I'm reading the first book, eager to get it over with so I can find out what happens next, and to also become more familiar with the many characters. If it weren't for the show, I don't think I could read the book. I don't like the way it's written, jumping around here and there.

Like last night, I was following Eddard's story, then all of a sudden it's back to Tyrion Lannister. Nooooo! I want more info on what's going down with Eddard! Annoyed

That was a good light read. Good story woven in the backdrop of various political and cultural upheavals that Pakistan has witnessed.

Next up Burial at Sea by Khushwant Singh.

Finished Traffic a while ago. I liked it, although I wish the author has spent time talking about plausible solutions to the horrible traffic issues that are just going to get worse. It was a really interesting read!

Then I re-read The Fountainhead heart That book always helps me refocus and think about how I want to live my life.

Then I read a play my friend wrote Whee

I've been reading a lot of photography books too!

Need to figure out what to read next. Whee Time to look back at my VQ recommendations!

Burial was a decent novella. The story fizzled way too quickly in the end.

Now reading The Girl who Kicked the Hornets' Nest. Halfway through and hooked.

Saw the movie for first novel. Read the second novel. And now this. A good crime thriller trilogy.

The question is, what book to read next? We hit two book warehouse sales in as many weekends and have book overload at the moment. Either The Ice People [amazon.com] by Rene Barjavel or Anansi Boys [amazon.com] by Neil Gaiman or one of the dozens of other books I haven't read yet.

Just noticed on The Ice People, the price back in 1973 was $1.25. Had to pay $8.00 for it online as I couldn't find a copy locally, it's been out of print since the 70's.
