I think she's 9 or 10. I don't want to be a nosy neighbor type, but something seems so wrong with letting a child out after midnight screaming.

I really hope she's ok. I talked to her just two days ago. She's so sweet. Frown

Wow. Poor guy. He's going through a lot lately, huh? Is there anything he can take to help?

Not really, unfortunately. I think he needs to call his pdoc and get a med that knocks him out better at night. He is on something that is supposed to help but the night terrors/flashback are still getting through. Frown

It is really bad. I can't stop thinking about it. The more I think about it, the more things just don't add up.

She seems like a very normal, calm, imaginative child. She doesn't seem dramatic at all (I know some children can be dramatic or whiney and that doesn't seem like her).

That's terrible. He has so much going on with him right now. You're one hell of a woman to stay strong enough for him. hug

Smack There, supaplex... now you have something to whine about. Annoyed

Where the FARK does that boy find pacifiers?!?! I swear he's like a ninja with those things. He's got little caches all over the house. Every time I turn around he's sucking like Maggie Simpson. Annoyed
OMG...our sons must have been twins in another life or something. Mine is the EXACT same way! Then my husband will come home and see him sucking away on one and he'll be like "I thought we said no more pacifiers??!! He's been off them (I'm making it sound like crack, lol) for ages! Why'd you let him have one now?"

I'm thinking...he hasn't been off them for ages. He just doesn't see the seek and destroy missions that go on during the day with the whole Battle of the Pacifier thing. Annoyed

I got about 6 hours of sleep, and was woken up approximately 5 times because of the boy's night terrors. I'm exhausted Frown
Comfort I can't imagine how exhausting that must be.

Do you know what school she goes to? The reason I ask is...there's a girl in our neighborhood...she is a grade under my daughter and rides her bus. Her mom drinks, screams and, according to this little girl, hits her. Now this girl Is a bit of a drama queen..but in a different way...can't really describe it. So I went and spoke to the guidance counselor at her school...she was very nice and listened and said she'd pull this little girl out of class and talk with her...just kind of feel things out. If she felt the situation warranted it, she'd call child protection services.

Could you do something like that? That's gotta be rough to see and like you said, something's just not adding up here hug

I know I really should wean him... but we do our best to limit it to night time and nap time. I take it every time he finds one unless he's sick or something. I'm thinking we might leave them for Santa to bring to another baby this year if they're still an issue when he turns 3 in October.

Day One: Broke 3 nails.
Day Two: Lost my sunglasses.
Day Three: Broke a fourth nail.
Day Four: Destroyyyyyeeeeedddddd my ankle by walking too much.
Day Five: Can't walk.
Want Pizza Hut, but they don't deliver here.
The child keeps throwing up. It is very hard to clean up vomit when you can't walk and don't have any cleaning supplies. Thankfully (eh?) he hasn't eaten yet today so it's mostly just apple juice.

What's so hard about letting someone know to expect you or not when you get invited to something?

I asked six friends to go do something tonight...and only heard back from 2 of them.
