We just finished Making a Murderer...it wasnt bad.

What else is really good right now? I'm eyeing The Expanse, but not sure my wife would be able to handle it.

nod I haven't watched anything new, but I really enjoyed it in the past (watched randomly when channel surfing in the past). Started watching it on Netflix but got distracted, so I'm only one or two episodes in.
The show is very "busy" with lots going on at once, complex plots, and characters and casting against the norm. The idea of two AI entities at war trying to control the world is kinda cool. Season 3 had some of the best TV episodes of any show ever. Welcome to The Machine was epic. :thud:

But speaking of Twin Peaks, are you looking forward to the new series? We were in North Bend while they were filming at the cafe. There's a restaurant in North Bend that we go to regularly.

David Lynch created it as a mini-series and it will air on Showtime next year sometime. It's a return to Twin Peaks in present day time and if IMDB is right there will be 18 episodes.

I gave Shadowhunters a chance despite the trailer looking below average. Nothing overly exciting, but it's ok, despite characters saying and doing dumb things. It's hard to screw up too much with pretty people + magic + demons + sword fighting.

Speaking of which... The Shannara Chronicles has all of that and more. It even looks expensive. Very good.

Adults who like Harry Potter may likeThe Magicians. Sort of an adult version. Surprisingly, it has its share of adult situations, which I would think would limit its ratings since parents probably won't let their young Harry Potter fans watch it.

The Man in the High Castle has a great trailer, Hitler winning WWII. Starts out well, and then, I feel like everything between episode one and 10 is basically just time-wasting filler.

I've been trying to watch The Expanse, but the non-stop dialogue wears my ears out. From what I can tell, it's like a sci-fi Game of Thrones, but with characters that don't interest me, small enclosed areas, and eyes-glazing political dialogue from the parliament senate scenes in Star Wars Episode I.

Thanks, I am sure that I will refer to this thread over and over in the next few months.
I never got past the middle of the second season of Lost back when it was first running.. figured I'd work my way through that whole show.. laugh out loud Just about done with season 1.
