The swelling worries me, you pay close attention to that. My mom kept saying she thought it was fine because she didn't want to go back to the hospital. I was checking up on her over the phone because she is so far away. It wasn't fine at all. My sister went over and ended up taking her back, it was a lot worse by then after just a day and a half. Infections can really move fast and that is scary. hug Pray
Thanks Nikayla & Teri. hug I am going to keep an eye on it. It didn't look very swollen tonight when I was there and she said it had gone down a bit from earlier. I did tell her she needs to tell someone that it is/was swollen. There is still a chance she could lose her leg so there is NO room for her to delay. The first sign it's different/worse she needs to inform a doc.

I'm prayin she will heal, diabetes is such a terrible thing. I see so much of it at the VA. They can do some very aggressive treatment these days...I've often wondered, but been afraid of seeming stupid for asking, but would rubbing her feet and leg (not where the wound is) help w/ circulation? I know they can use the hyperbaric chamber too. I just remember when we lived in Alaska and we would go out snowmobiling, my toes would be so numb they stung, and a good brisk rub would get the blood flowing...

If anyone here does wags, could you give me the beginners guide...I am so slow I totally missed the diaper deal but what is really bothering me is the AUGUST ESC says valid july 25 thru aug 30 but all of the IVC expied on JULY 26th????? why???? if this is the AUGUST book - how do I get aug IVC?
I was wondering the same. Mine also says exp 7/26. I just figured I wont cut out my q's. I'll just leave them in the book for them to scan, so that there is no problem, they cant argue the coupon if it hasnt been cut out. Especially since the front of the cover says August.Confused

Really--you should call if she won't DM. It's like having a kid again. Not that you ever got rid of your other kids.

Trang-we have one coming up too in September. There's a town fair and they allow tag sale booths. Hubby said no way initially as everyone will question where the stuff came from but you know what, we need to raise $ for his hospital bills and for that sensor pump thing (6 months out but insurance won't cover it) and we're doing it. Already told the donation lady there will be no drop in August and she completely understands. They will get whatever I don't sell.

I think I"m going to do the bogo cover girl this week even though I don't wear makeup just to sell it. I bet I'm going to do that a lot this month, get free stuff to sell

I wish you and stormy would have told me you wanted these. They had them yesterday at my Target but I'm sure they'll be gone by the time I get back there. If not, I'll pick up what they have and you guys can share

why do you girls bring these thing up, just as I let the good ole days slip into he back of my memory - then poof you bring them all back. Frown oh how I loved you lovs bogo, freezy Tylenol and so many of your brothers...

The biggest sellers were toothbrushes (Oral-B, Colgate and GUM), most cleaning products EXCEPT Windex (which I had 35+ bottles and wanted to get rid of most of all!), deodorant, and shampoo. Couldn't get rid of my 35+ boxes of Kleenex, and my wipes moved SO SLOWLY! At $3/package! ]
I would have takeb the windex, I missed that one and its my fav, and I am shocked w/ the tissues for back to school and all each kids needs 3 boxes!

Just wanted to have a little chat about stockpiling. I saw (gatorcenter's?) photos over in the main thread... that looked like she had Waaayyyyy more stuff than a family my size could ever use before it went bad. Now maybe a family of 10 could use it all...

Anyway, I even see myself accumulating too much stuff... more stuff than we'll use before it expires. I'm trying to give it away... but every closet and shelf in my house is bursting. So how do you know when enough is enough... and how do you quit... I really don't think I can?!? I need a CA (couponers annonymous). I feel like I'm completely obsessed right now.

My DH appreciates the savings (even with over-spending in the gas part of our budget we're still under for the year overall... as I just started seriously couponing at the very end of last year... and we make our annual budget based off of the previous year's sending)... but even he's complaining about all the space this "stuff" is taking up.

Anyway, any tips or ideas??? I'm seriously considering having a garage sale next month. I've already made charitable donations... and plan to do more of those...
I AM a family of 6+2 inlaws and my pile is a bit smaller than that and it is WAY TO MUCH! My logic, if it doesn't good bad or expire we will get thru it.

I wonder about that too...Is this another form of addiction for reallaugh out loud Or is it greed? Or maybe insecurity, like we have to buy all we can because we may not get the deal again..Maybe it's just fun because it's a challenge..Maybe a little bit of all of it. I first give to my family, then I donate, then I sell. I have friends and family who gift me with coupons from time to time so I always give them some of what I get with the q's they give me. With all of that, my spare room looks like a drugstore warehouse!
I do believe it is an addiction,

NOUN:

Compulsive physiological and psychological need for a habit-forming substance: a drug used in the treatment of heroin addiction.
An instance of this: a person with multiple chemical addictions.

The condition of being habitually or compulsively occupied with or or involved in something.
An instance of this: had an addiction for fast cars.

the substance: STICKING IT TO THE MAN FEELING
or
the something: FREE STUFF!!!

I come from a long family history of addicts, and if FREE STUFF is my 'drug of choice', I can live with that.

Teehee Teehee I remember one of my first PM's to someone in the deals thread was Doublesided and I was asking about the Thomas q she was using. She told me about the etq and how many Thomas toys she had stockpiled. I almost :thud:

hug At least he found it early enough and not days or months later when it can do alot of harm.

That is where we've gone to see Thomas the past 2 years! It is ALWAYS so stinkin hot that week. This year we didn't make it in June, but he will be back in September and December so we'll be going one of those times. Probably September, so hopefully it won't be as hot!

Great job on your stockpile sale!!! I'm still trying to have one of those, plus get rid of all the old toys. I'd really like to be able to walk in my garage again. Summer will be over before I get the chance. Embarrassment
Ha, I am giving Double a run for her money on the Thomas stuff, I think I have the whole Take along collection that Target had. My kid is going to have an awesome 4th bday and Christmas, it is one huge stack. Ohhhh I hope Target get some new ones in

As much as I love the Toy clearance, I also love seeing the new toys!

I'm sure you beat me in Thomas. I never did buy the bigger trains and stopped using toy etq about 2 months ago. I do have all the takealong sets that target had and most of the smaller trains.

It's true, I loved seeing the new toys yesterday. Once I get these diabetes supplies under control, it will be nice to use some overages for the new toys! Yaa for new toys. I really need to get some little people stuff eventually. I have close to none.

I found a forum for parents of kids with diabetes and its organized the same as SD. I'm in love

I know I have an addiction! I volunteered this year to be the Angel tree shopper for school. I get to buy toys for 30-40 kids using someone else's money! How awesome is that! I will be limited to what the kids at school collect, but I will totally have fun figuring out how to get the most from the funds I get!

AS for where to stash things, I have no spare rooms, and no basement, living in TX the attic really is not good storage, gets way to hot up there, so best I can do is toilet paper in the garage, we no longer have dipers YAY, lets see, razors, toothbrushes, bandaids, panty liners and pads those are garage storage.
Cat and Dog food go in the front hall closet, shampoo/body wash/hair stylers in the bathroom under the sinks.

I am not full yet, so we will see from there. I have donated all the toothpaste that we won't use, brands I got for free or got paid to take.

Silly girl--she has them all!

I posted a thread on there titled "what am I doing wrong". Hopefully will get some help. He's not at 500 anymore but nowhere near what he should be. They said 250 this weekend. He was 352 last night. Sigh. I guess I'm settling in that it's always going to be hard and I hate feeling like that.

I am keeping great notes for the second opinion though. I think this practice is off, the timing or the dosage isn't right. No way it should be 10 days and he's still not stable yet

Hey Double...glad you found a nifty support group...10 days does seem like forever to get him stabilized...but he has a growing metabolism so it might be harder to nail down the exact right amount his body needs...He may also have a type of diabetes known as "brittle"..look it up but in essence it is an erratic blood level that never seems to be consistent and is harder to manage...my Gmother and her Brother both have this type and they can be really low one minute and then sky high the next...

Little people are awesome..I confess to having purchased a few in my time..Ya feel less guilty once you have another kiddo that will get to use them eventually...Big Grin

D'momma...Guess I missed ya last night...Hope mom is doing loads better today and that swelling stays away..she has been thru enuf already! hug Still Pray for her speedy recovery!heart

Things I am hunting coupons for: Similac, Gerber or other baby food, baby cereal, baby juice, Clean team, Kandoo, and Oragel...Thanks peeps!!Please

Silly girl, of course I do. I started at last years toy clearance. I love little people. He has the LP Garage and he loves that thing, puts very car he owns down the ramps and yells wheeeeeee

Went to Hellmart today. What a mess, they are making it a Super Walmart so there is stuff everywhere. The newspapers are 1.25 instead of 1.75 so I went and got 9, lots of good q's this week. Bought 10 boxes of crayons for 17 cents ea to go with all my coloring books I got from Borders.

I have to list out what q's I can trade, I have a ton of them, lots of tearpads and someEnfamil cks,

I am looking for the FREE cat foods from this weeks inserts if anyone has them
