They really should have released episodes last year like with David Tennant before he got swapped by Matt Smith :\ Christmas special doesn't count :p

One of the few new shows I watch. PBS was one of two stations we could get in the early 80s while I was young, they ran old episodes, got hooked then. Not very many episodes per "series" and this long delay, something in between would be nice. New companions will take some getting used to. Wasn't enthused about Class, might try to watch but it's cancelled already.

This is supposed to be Capaldi's last season. I hope it's as good as last season. I didn't really think he was that great, but last season's two part finale (Heaven Sent, Hell Bent) really changed my opinion of him.

The UK betting firms have suspended betting on Kris Marshall as the new Doctor Who. He had been 3/1 before they suddenly started getting heavy bets on him yesterday.

He's the star of Death In Paradise but most US fans will remember him at the lovelorn young ginger haired Brit who went to America to find a girlfriend in Love Actually.

On a serious note, I was expecting this and should be interesting. What's more important is that they get a great actor (whatever the gender/color) and engaging story lines
