Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.
Can I cancel after the first year?
Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

This is in the first page Wiki:

For those who want to get an estimate of taxes and fees for their own states (just note that USF fee is now ~17% not 6.6% and admin fee of $1.99/line is not included)
http://www.actwireless.org/taxes-...-rankings/
KEY here is that Sprint will calculate taxes/fees based on their "prediscount" price, roughly $60 for first line, $40 for second, and probably $10-20(??) per additional.

In NY, for example, if the effective tax and fee rate, including USF+other taxes, is 25%, the price for 1 "free" sprint line would be $15 after taxes and fees. For 2 "free" lines, $25, and so on and so forth. So this is very YMMV, depending on what state you're in. If you're in a high tax/fee state and got in on the early Tmo One deals, you may want to stay on your current post-paid plan (with Taxes included) and avoid the hassle.

I think this has been debunked.

Transferred my iPhone 6 from Verizon had no issues with ordering SIM or porting but the data is too slow to even use. It has been over 24 hours I updated Network settings and things only have gotten worse. I can't even ping server to do speedtest. Netflix errors out and will not connect picture messages take like 30 seconds to send. I have LTE 2 dots to 3G a friend with sprint has no issues with data speeds in my house.

Any other troubleshooting tips?

same situation, but with a nexus 6. Its been 2 days since i sent a PM on reddit, may be he got too many requests and stopped helping. May be the other option is to contact sprint and get a clickit ticket created to add to their repository.

No and thank you so much. Took less then a minute and immediately saw phone go from 3G to LTE 3 bars in the house and getting speeds over 5/1 with no streaming issues.

Should add that to the wiki

That updates your PRL so the phone knows which frequency bands and towers to connect to and prioritize, I believe. Glad it worked for you.

http://www.androidpolice.com/2015/11/29/some-things-to-know-regarding-sim-cards-when-activating-an-u... [androidpolice.com] Ok Others have reported the corrections are taking place in about 5 days. I should say wait time is around 5 days

Sim cards are married to the phone with sprint. When the imei is released the sim is released along with it. No sim swapping. Yes you do need a sprint sim go to best buy. sim is a 436 i believe. See link above. correction: Sprint Part #SIMGLW446C
I already have that Sprint SIM (that part #). I need a competitor carrier SIM to activate on that competitor, so that I can switch to Sprint and get the promo. An additional possible complication is that I have already used this Nexus and this Sprint SIM to do this once to get my first line, which I then transferred to an S7 (but a different Sprint SIM inside). I went to Walmart and cheapest SIM was $10. Went to Best Buy and got an ATT SIM free. Tmobile wants $10, and I ordered an H2O for $0.01 but shipping might not get here before 6/30. How can I activate using the ATT SIM with the least cost?

What/which number did you port in from? If it's a landline (wireline) number such as GV that uses VoIP number (VoIP number is considered as landline number), it could take up to 10 business days for the port to complete 100%. The port has to be 100% completed to get LTE.

In other words, if you are getting no LTE, no incoming call, voicemail not working, etc., after doing factory reset, carrier reset, profile update, and any other reset/erase/update there is on a compatible device that supports Sprint network (3G, LTE, LTE Plus), it's most likely the number porting has not 100% completed. The SIM card could be faulty too (this happens less often) or user's error (this happens all the time).

I ported from T-Mobile. The port was completely within a few hours. However, still stuck on 3G when I should be getting LTE on my Nexus 6. Replaced SIM and tried other things like factory reset, etc, but no luck till now.

Getting late for H2O. Must have service for 5 days before they will release your account number and pin. Maybe try to open a gophone line at an att store. good luck

The number porting should have 100% completed by now. I think the PRL file in your N6 is damaged. You can boot into recovery mode and wide cache partition and factory reset (you will lose data stored on your phone, so backup your phone) to restore the PRL file, then do carrier reset and PRL update, or use the Change APN app as suggested by hodaddy and monkeybiz below to restore the PRL file:
Quote from hodaddy :
Sheesh, i jogged my own memory. Deja vu.

Use Monkeybiz' fix here: https://slickdeals.net/forums/showpost.php?p=96456727&postcount=302

Works like a charm.
