Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.
Can I cancel after the first year?
Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

Can you port in a T-Mobile number, but sign up with a Boost Mobile Moto E4? The Boost version is cheaper than the unlocked version through Best Buy.

Want to bring everyone attention to service section of your lines. I added two lines over the phone, and each line was added unwanted services without my permission by crooked CSRs. One line was added "Total Equipment Protection" for $13 a month for an Iphone 5c! Another line was added Premier Caller ID trial ($2.99).

I removed Equipment protection online (2 days after signup). I am wondering whether I would still be charged for 1 month of service ($13) for my first bill?

Everyone knows about this. It's been posted many many times. They get commission for getting you the protection plan. You can just cancel it the same day not to get charged for it. Otherwise, you will get charged a prorated amount

call them and tell them and have them take the protection and caller id off your lines. you should not be charged anything, if you are charged, call and have them credit the charge.

We switched two lines from Verizon with no issues. We were paying about $145 per month to Verizon and will have an ETF of $310 per line. Even with the high ETF fees we will be saving over $900 over the next 10 months and about $35 per month once the promotional period expires. I do recommend updating your Verizon billing preferences prior to making the switch because they immediately lock online access to your account.

We have had no service issues since switching over and the switch over took about 25 minutes.

I've been on this for a month with minimal problems but definitely see why Sprint's "paying" customers aren't super happy. Very easy to solve problems get ignored and unsolved and things are just harder to do than on other carriers.

For instance - activated two Moto G5 Pluses, brought two lines over, activated super fast - great job, Sprint.

My G5 Plus seemed to have a defective earpiece, so I looked to use an unlocked iPhone that had previously been active on Virgin Mobile. For ANY OTHER CARRIER, the process goes like this:

Remove SIM from current phone and place in iPhone.

For Sprint, it started in the online portal. Then went to a chat (10 minutes). Then to a phone call (15 minutes). Then I was told they couldn't activate my unlocked, full priced iPhone because it was on some Sprint prepaid list. They would never be able to activate, no matter what, on Sprint postpaid. What?!?

So, because the earpiece was still broken, I purchased a used LG V20 from eBay for about the same price as the G5. Again, tried to activate in the online portal and got a different error message. This went to a chat (5 minutes) where problem was solved.

I also didn't realize I'd be unable to change the phone number on my line. Rather, you can change the number, but you are unable to transfer a number from another service onto the line. It's OK, just something to consider.

This is all to say it is a free/low cost service, but if things go wrong know Sprint's CS really is bad. If the hope is for all of us to continue being Sprint customers when the year is up they've got some work to do. Also - service is a lot spottier than ATT/Cricket and a lot slower than T-Mobile. Nothing new to report. Maybe things will improve this year. It's saving me about $800 for my two lines this year, so I'm appreciative of that.

Editing to add:

Roaming is fairly useless. I use Google Voice for my main number and I can't even send/receive texts when roaming.

Hotspot works great! Thanks Sprint.

Call quality is generally quite good, but not having data while on a call feels very old school.

The V20 is a beast and a great buy at current prices.
So you can bring your own device (BYOD) LG v20 for this deal even though its not on the list ? Or does this work because he did this after he opened his free account ?

I spoke too soon, actually something has come along since then. I just got an email from FreedomPop alerting me to get new SIM (for free)

FreedomPop is moving to its newer faster LTE network. In order to ensure you get up to 5x your current speeds, and ensure ongoing reliability, we urge you to upgrade your old SIM now.

Get a free upgraded SIM and new line today.
I'm guessing it's my old CDMA sim and I don't know where that is. I also have the GSM but both data networks were 3G and unsuitable for voice last I checked. Life in the MVNO lane is never boring.

A little off topic here. I have both the Moto E4/E4 Plus on this deal. Both phones do not stream many music stations in TuneIn and XiiaLive apps, it kept saying network unreachable(not all stations but many), also I use an app called Webcam Viewer Pro to monitor my webcams from home, this does not work at all, same network unreachable error when I open up the app, The weird thing is if I connect my phone to wifi network, all would work fine. I also tried to put in my FreedomPop ATT LTE sim in, that works fine as well. So it does look like I have this problem only when I put in the Sprint sim in these phones(e4/e4 +). Does anyone have this problem if you have this phone? Or if someone has this phone, would you mind to install go to the Play store to install these apps and try to see if you can duplicate this issues? I have contacted Sprint to no avail. They kept telling me to contact the app developer for this, since other stuff just working fine, they refused to go any further troubleshooting for me, even though I i told them i dont have this issues if i switch to wifi or another carrier's sim,

No, FP is retiring GlobalSim. Sprint phones had already LTE and are normally incompatible with AT&T LTE SIM.

okay thanks, I'm not very up to date on these things. It's the same old song and dance, they want you to cancel all the premium trials all over again. sleazeballs.

Is there a tread on this somewhere? The global for global use is a loss.

What I know is that you open with one of eligible phones first to set up. Then you can swap to any sprint-able phones.

Sprint Expert: is it easy to swap device with my daughter phone? I mean my kid and I opened BYOD but we need to switch phones each other. I need hers and she needs mine. Do we have to get new sim cards? I heard Sprint recycles SIM card.
Anyway - wat is the best way to swap a device that is on Sprint active?
TIA
