Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

You do not need to do it the way laalaa99stl describes if both devices are Android. It is much simpler than that.

All you have to do is:
(1) Make sure PDANet+ is installed on both devices (say an Android phone and a Fire HD tablet as my own example - or could be two Android phones)
(2) On the phone, toggle on Wifi Direct Hotspot and push the wps button
(3) On the tablet, click connect to a PDANet hotspot
That's it! No password needs to be entered. It takes only a few seconds to connect and works properly. I do it frequently while away from home and it is not inconvenient at all.

I use Connectify too at home but you do not need it in the above scenario.
Oh snap. Received notification on my (Sprint, of course) phone that I got quoted by comintel. Hadda check it out. You are indeed correct (of course). Installing PDANet+ on the OTHER phone was the piece that I was missing. So losing hotspot on the 2nd (or 3rd) free year is no biggie at all. Of course, you can also just root your phone. People need only decide whether 1080p streaming is worth paying a premium for.

It is $2.50 per line times 4 lines equals $10. Every Sprint plan (and other carriers too) charges that. It is in all the announcements and disclosures.
So $2.50 x 4 = $10 + $1.60 Regulatory charge + $6.48 taxes (NJ) = $18.08 total should be my monthly? Does that sound accurate and similar to everyone else with 4 lines or similar? Just wanna make sure theyre not trying to add anything like they did with the $15 insurance

About 50 zip codes in the wiki. Although some of those were with $1.99 admin fee which changed to $2.50 in 2/2018.

Yes, $3.50 to $4.50ish total is typical per line.

Yours is slightly on the high side of that range but that is just your higher tax rates there.

There is a survey in the Wiki by zip code but a lot of those are older before the more recent 51 cent increase in Admin fee as edog11 points out.

It is individual reps who put on the insurance, to get the commission, but I agree that does not excuse it. Everybody just chats right afterwards to remove it. If you can do that same day as you sign up it will not appear at all. Otherwise most people accept an equal credit which I also think is unacceptable but good enough for most as it gives no or negligible net cost overall with a wait.

what number do i need to call to get them to post the $30 credits to offset the activations fees? I tried doing this through the chat and whoever worked on the ticket screwed it up.

Actually re-sku should work if they are willing to do it. Re-sku means change the branding of the phone, recorded in the device maintenance database, in this case from Boost to Sprint to allow it to be activated. The team processing the ticket might decline though. I just do not know.

I do not know whether calling Boost and asking for a 3 day extension might work or not. Certainly do not risk losing the return though, since odds are mixed at best.
I went ahead and returned the phone today, but while out and about I did some checking at Best Buy and Walmart. Every Boost MEID I entered into Sprint's site came back with the "You owe Sprint for this phone" message, so I went to two Sprint stores and they both flat out refused to sell me a phone outright even though the price was listed. They seemed really expensive anyway.

In the end I just ended up picking up an unlocked G6 @ Best Buy. Probably going to return it because BH Photo has the same model tax free and with a screen protector/case included. Wish Boost phones would just work b/c they're so cheap!

Darn, so it seems the BestBuy and Walmart stock has been affected too then. I was hoping it would not be.

Yes here are the two current levels:
https://www.sprint.com/content/da...update.pdf [sprint.com]

(most other links are out of date).

But only $30 and $50 levels are open currently for new subscribers.

You never know, we could conceivably see a KickStart flash promo at $15 on Black Friday. It is also conceivable that the Free promo could still be open at end of April which is my coming free plan expiry.

I could actually do without hotspot now because PDANet+ gives both Wifi connection and tethered connection easily for Android devices. I have been testing it and it works perfectly even for Wifi with one connected Android device. You can also connect an iPad too but it is a little more work.
Hows the kickstart $15 flash deal better than this? What does it offer which this doesn't?

It does not expire in a year and so does not depend on this deal being further extended.
That's all.

So it would really be a judgment call based on when you think they may stop extending this free plan, and your own next expiration date. And that's all only IF they ever offer the $15 plan again on a flash sale. They may not do so.

I was offered a second year free if I upgrade my phone. So telesales said if I buy a phone from them, or lease one that I wanted, I would get an additional year free.

Most had to speak to Supervisors and so many different reps because they said they never seen this and didn't have a definitive answer, but that is what the final conclusion was that they provided me.

So I can buy a phone from them and get a 2nd year free now. Anyone else get this, or have any issues after doing this?

*My first year free was already ending fyi, thus the 2nd year free offer.
sdp3334Thank you, that is a great suggestion and advice. I did not see your post sorry. Just ask that they send me a copy of the details outlining the extension agreement or?
did you call Sprint cancellations (phone number? ) and they came up with the offer on the same call for 2nd free year ?
You accepted the offer I am guessing. Everything looking good on the agreement?

Don't know if it's important to you, but be aware that the unlocked g6 or g6 play, or any of the unlocked motos for that matter, do not support wifi-calling.
