Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

I just returned one a couple weeks ago. Called support and they sent a ups label. Returned it in the box it was shipped to me in. A few days after they received it the line disappeared from my account.
They're supposed to be sending a box now, but sometimes they fall back on old ways and just send the label, particularly if you call clueless general support rather than magic box support.

I believe that if you just got the label, what they did is (erroneously) sent you the return kit for a phone. That has been a common "problem" (in people's minds)..

I suspect clicking the request return kit button on the dashboard on that line would also get it processed properly and you would get the correct return kit.. The correct return kit comes with detailed instructions that are specific to the Magic Box, re which parts to send back and what you can keep (the small battery kit on newer models), etc.

In earlier days they used to always just send the label and people would complain endlessly because it has a "maximum weight" on it (that is ignored anyway)..

Not that any of this makes the slightest bit of difference to anything. Either way works fine.

Can I port a new number to an existing line? Say I bring a device and port with a google voice number and then port a new number to that device/sim later on.

You need an active non sprint number to port over to sprint, with any sprint eligible phone.
See wiki post for details and tips.

I've got one line I need to cancel as it's not needed. Once I port out to the pay as you go H2O plan can I just forget it at that point or do i need to cancel that as well?

You may have the at&t or TMo gsm model which lacks compatibility for sprint.
Check your model, go to Settings > General > About > Model
You'll need the A1660 model for sprint.

It should do it, but doesn't hurt to contact sprint or see your accounts dashboard to verify.

Yes you can port in twice.

I've done it without screwing up the account

Edit: must be a new sign up under the correct BYOD plan, as stated in the wiki

Just to be clear, say I activate the promotion with one line. Can I change the number on that line by porting in a new number to it?

be careful. i have read some have had issue when trying this.
plan changed.
i would not recommend.

better&
safer just to port in again using a different phone,, and then simply cancel the first one.

Hi. Does anyone know if you can use your phone in Mexico on this free plan? Calls, texts, data? I might visit Tijuana. Thanks!

As stated on the sprint promo link:

Are international services included?
Yes, our 1 Year Free Unlimited plan includes Sprint Global Roaming, which includes data up to 2G speeds and text messaging in any of our more than 200 international destinations at no charge, plus calling for just $0.20 a minute.

It does not include Sprint's Premium International Experience for calling to and roaming in Canada & Mexico.

It does not include calling from the U.S. to international locations, but you can easily add international calling to your plan.

Hi, 2 questions.

1) I checked my apple 5s on Sprint website, and it says " this phone can't be activated online, please chat with Care so we can help."
Do I chat with Care or do I call the 8777? Which way is easiest? need advice.

2) I talked to the 8777 telesales number to order a sim card, but the rep said I need to have a Sprint account first. She asks for SSN, but I need to make sure my 5s can be activated, do I make an account and order the sim card first? need advice too.

Thanks guys
