here is my keg setup now... i have to be very resourceful due to lack of funds... i can actually fit 4 1/6bbl kegs in the fridge with the co2 tank but i don't have enough lines/connections for that. i can dispense 3 at a time which i am okay with...all i have to do is move the co2 line from one homebrew keg to the other.

i didn't think about different head pressures between both kegs, oops i have a little beer in the line...owell

now on tap:
stone smoked porter with whisky, vanilla beans and french oak.
stone ipa
homebrew hoppy dark amber

Matt, drill a hole and mount the CO2 on the outside. It helps a ton with space and organization.

I just poured a glass of my BW. This is by far the best beer I have ever brewed. Aged 7 months now. Just awesome. It's based on an Old Crustacean recipe. But, I tweaked the hop schedule and grain a bit. If anyone is interested in my recipe, let me know.

with my adoption coming near, I need to brew a baby beer. I want to brew a beer so that the day we get home from the hospital and bring home the baby, we are going to tap the keg. So far I am thinking about brewing a hoppy red ale.
Brewing a 5 gal batch
thinking this sounds good:
14# 2 row
1# victory
.5# pale chocolate
.5# crystal 150L

bitter with chinook(lightly)
flavor with simcoe and chinook(most of bittering will come in this stage)
knockout will be simcoe and citra
dry hop with simcoe and citra

using stone's yeast....

I've been lurking but haven't posted in a while.

My basement is almost done, I just have half left to tile. Should be finished this weekend, then I need to drag down my TDD-3, then I'll be building the brewery very similar to theelectricbrewery.com. I hope to be brewing by mid Sept.

Wow. It's been a while since someone posted in this thread. Here is my latest project. Thanks to a suggestion from briang's friend Bryant, I created a manifold for my mash tun. A bunch of holes are drilled on the under side of the CPVC. I've only tested it with water. The flow seems pretty good. My goal here is to buy a March pump and have the pump suck the wort out of the mash tun and in to the keggle. This project only cost me $6.

that looks pretty cool....tell me how it works... what kind of attachment did you use to hook up the pvc? I have a barb sticking into my mash tun....

my newest project is making a stainless steel drip tray from scraps at work... rounding up all my parts then welding together..

I took my barb off. The 1/2 inch female to 1/2 inch CPVC adapter is available in the same spot as the tees and elbows. It screws onto the threaded pipe that goes through the cooler where your barb was. I didn't have to change any of that. This acts as a replacement to the SS braid. The whole manifold has a bunch of 3/32 holes on the bottom side to act as the filter. If you are using a pump, the drain is quicker and more even than using a braid.

How goes it Matt, still working at Stone? I had too many things and hadn't used them for too long and the wife won the "you ain't using it, it's taking up space in the garage, sell it!" war so I no longer have the means either. Frown I do still enjoy a good brew though.

Cheers! Cheers

yep... working through A LOT of expansion currently. fun times! too bad you had to sell your gear... I haven't brewed too much lately, last one was a month ago and it was a "samoa girl scout cookie" style brown ale. Imperial brown ale with toasted oatmeal, cinnamin sticks at knockout, and toasted coconut in secondary. The malt bill really brought out caramel flavors so everything meshed perfectly. Tastes just like somoas...

Stone is having an employee contest and we are all brewing a batch on the new 6bbl pilot system. So in a couple of months i will be brewing 6bbls of it. If it wins the contest, then expect to see it nationwide. Some people are brewing some crazy stuff, i kept it simple and delicious... while keeping it in the high abv so we can barrel age it if we like. 9.2% alcohol. 20 entries though so its a longshot still.
