The 43" Sony KD43X720E 4K is on sale several places for $480.
Rtings.com rates it as their #1 pick [rtings.com] (within a reasonable price) for computer use.
1) IPS panel with wide viewing angles
2) Low latency
3) Chroma 4,4,4,4 for sharp clear text
What makes it good for computer use makes it only average for TV use. To get top notch for both TV and Computer use, you'd need to spend a LOT more. If you're looking for a TV, in this size and price range, get the TCL P607.

Lowest price of the year according to a price tracker.
I thought it worth posting as it seems a fairly large number of people are looking for a TV to use as a computer monitor.

Good deal, repped... but TVs can't compare to monitors

I agree with Rtings.com that the viewing angles and text sharpness matter more than wide color gamut or HDR for a computer monitor that's used mostly for work. I'm okay with the trade off for under $500. The $1,200+ to not have to chose what matters just isn't in my budget right now. I also don't do black with white text, I'm old school, white with black text lol.
Really, my only concern is the semi-gloss coating. I'll have to see how much of a problem it is or isn't where I plan to use it. So I ordered mine for pickup at Best Buy, easy enough to return it if it's not workable.
As for monitors, I haven't seen any in the low 40 inch range for around this price with an IPS panel. If you know of some, please share
The 6290 was $350 at costco, but is sold out online.
Hmm, I need to research that a bit more. The x4 inputs is neat, but limited to 30fps refresh. I don't think I'd personally have much use for them personally. Looks more matte which is a plus. USB ports are nice but more in a bonus sense than a picture quality one. Definitely more research needed, thank you.

I'd stay away from the Samsung 6290/6300 if you are sensitive to flicker at all. Uses a low 120hz PWM. I didn't think I'd care, bought the 40" 6290 from Costco and got mild eye/head ache after a night of extended use. Love the picture and will use it in another room strictly as a TV. Just my $.02

Cuz I personally would never consider 40" a true monitor replacement, the size is way too big (desks are not that deep to be far enough away), plus monitor refresh rates can go a lot higher (for the gaming people that care about that sort of thing. Don't forget bragging rights 😀)
It's a 60hz panel so I'm pretty sure you can achieve 60 FPS if your graphics card is capable? I have one arriving Wednesday. PWM frequency was bothering me on the Samsung 40" 6290 I bought from Costco. Firmware update brings LG PWM up to 480hz (vs 120hz on Samsung) so I'm hoping I don't notice it. That being said, the Sony TV does not use PWM at all so maybe a better bet if sensitive to flicker. Though there are some trade offs of course as mentioned by others above.
The Sony is at a nearly $200 price premium with a 900:1 IPS panel that offers no advantage over the Samsung in color accuracy/volume or motion resolution.

Don't understand why Sony sets are so overpriced.
