Decent Deal on a good quality Vega 64 from Newegg, No tax for some. Performance wise this looks like a great price. May have to undervolt to combat thermal issues but seems pretty solid

It's back, probably the best deal for a Vega 64 right now (if you don't get taxed), it's a fairly easy pickup if you already have a Freesync monitor, the games it comes with are: The Division 2, Resident Evil 2 remaster, and a Devil May Cry remaster, all of them pre-order.

If you refund the card, you only get 250, the 150 in games is tied up forever (see https://www.newegg.com/Product/Pr...6800995295 )

The games are tied to Radeon cards, I think Vega 56 or 64, so the reselling market is small, do not count re-selling the free games in the final price.

Vega 64 is equivalent to a GTX 1080 (non-TI) according to https://www.tomshardware.com/revi...619-5.html which are still floating around 500 new...

Great reviews at 1440p gaming and 1080p.

I was considering an RX 580. Is this card overkill for my 144hz 1080p freesync monitor. I play FPS games such as Battlefield V and COD BO4.

Isn't this just as good as 1070 Ti? I saw 1070 for this price last week

Not overkill if you want detail + high frame rate.

It depends on the game but on average it should be a bit better than a 1070 ti.

A good buy if your cpu can keep up. Can even play well in 1440p.

I got a Asus Strix Vega 56 and returned it last week. The GPU gets so hot and draws so much power. I did undervolt, but still not worth it for my use case. I decided to stick with my EVGA 1080 FTW. I thought the Freesync might be worth it for my 75hz 34", but I think the 1080 works better for me. I'd love to swap out to a Strix 1080 in the future. But for me, I think the Vega cards arent worth it simply because they draw too much power and GPU temps get higher than the GTX.

Doubtful - 10% at best and at double the power usage. Check TPU's review.

At 4K it will be fine on high, don't use ultra.
U can push almost all games to ultra on 1080p on this card. Don't get sucked into the whole thing about this taking too much electricity, that only happens when you are running the card at Max capacity only during gaming.
I would recommend at least 650 watt gold power supply, AMD recommend 750 W. When I was using my way go 64 to the max it won't even reach 500 watts. Also have decent cooling in your system highly recommended.
