I created the above thread to see if anyone else has issues. If folks are using online Price Adjustment form to get $100 back from Costco, and not using phone or chat support please follow up to make sure that your request is on file.

It appears that the online form may not be working at times.

Samsung fanboys will say HDR10+ is better. LG fanboys will say DV is better. While DV has more movies right now, manufacturers pay royalties. HDR10+ is new and royalty free, but doesn't really have many movies or shows. Netflix supports DV, Amazon supports HDR10+. Movie studios as of now support both and plan products for both standards.

Basically there is no official standard right now and NEITHER is future proof. This is a format war all over again. Remember Bluray vs HD-DVD? Yeah, like that.

This crap will go on for a few years, so don't bother chasing either format. By the time the format war ends and there is one clear winner, you will probably be in the market for another TV. There is only one TV that supports both and it's not on sale in US.
This is great TV in terms of picture quality, if you love speed or responsiveness in a TV, this TV is not for you, TV startup takes around 45 seconds, and opening any apps takes a good 15-30 seconds, Vizio Software is crappy and causes lag. If this is a factor, I would go for Sony, LG or Samsung.

Also, you can't change the aspect ratio, Vizio disabled it in one of the newer firmwares, you may end up seeing black bars when watching your favorite tvs or shows. So buyer be aware.

Cons: You will also play a panel lottery, some people are noticing jail bars due to faulty panels.
Online ordered items don't have to be returned in-store. From Costco's website. "Receive your return label immediately or schedule a pickup (where eligible). For large items, you'll be sent an email with additional instructions."

I bought this last night, price adjustment request entered.

I couldn't find this TV in stock locally, but my warehouse has been offering free square trade warranties with TV purchases so you may want to double check your Warehouse first. I tried to get Costco.com to include the warranty too, but per usual they refused to do so.

Also, the new 2019 Vizio 75" PX75 is available for pre-order at Costco, but it's $3300 so there's that if you need latest and greatest for a far higher price.

So, this TV has Dolby Vision but not HDR10+ it looks like. Do we feel that DV is more "future proof" and HDR10+ will eventually phase out or should I hold off until I find one with both?

Here's a little write-up on RTINGs on the different HDR formats. https://www.rtings.com/tv/learn/hdr10-vs-dolby-vision

I am not informed enough to give you the future proof or a unit having both, but you can look at what has DV now and try and make with that information what you can.

This decision is getting frustrating. Just bought the 75" TCL 75R615 6 Series.

The Vizio or the TCL?

I saw complaints about this tv producing jail bars especially on a bright panning scene. I wonder how noticeable that is? Does it depend on the panel? Can you return your tv if you think you got a subpar panel?

Costco has a 90 day return policy on electronics. Test your panel when you get it. If the picture is not to your liking, return it.
