This price is $35 lower than the last time this WiFi router was a Frontpage Deal in July. -oceanlake
The one listed here is "AX" which means it has the latest wifi standard also known as Wifi 6.
As an opinion the one posted is a better choice because it is future proofing a little. That being said many current products do not run Wifi 6/AX, however it is slowly being implemented. For $245 vs your GT-"AC"5300 at $249.99, the AX would be better choice. IMO.
Edit: Wifi 6 or AX is reverse compatible. Meaning it will run the older standards also.
AX routers is new to market with a lot of bugs and kinks that need to be worked out by the early adapters who are willing to pay to have the latest. Like when AC standard first came out, there were lots of issues and updates. New AC models keep coming out with better firmware and antenna reception. It took a long time to get to a stable release of AC1900 routers and what we have today.
You will be better off to buy the $250 AC router now or save a bit with the well-proven and popular Asus AC86u at $150 where both have mesh support and actually work as advertised. Wait a few years for AX standard to work itself out and stabilize then upgrade to that. You will have much better functional router than all these beta release routers we now have.

There is another post for ASUS ROG Rapture GT-AC5300 at $249.99. Could anyone of you can advise me which one would be better choice?

Personally I would buy GT-AC5300, its tri-band, if you want to build mesh later on you can use on the band for backhaul, also reach on GT-AC5300 should be better with 8 antennas.
