I know it's not much, but it's something if you're looking for one right now. Best Buy (via Google Shopping) has the 2019 Nvidia Shield TV (8GB non-Pro) for $129.99 or Pro version $179.99 after coupon 19DECSAVE -> new code
JANSAVE20.
First-time Google Shopping users only. Code valid through 2/2.
Go with the Pro version if:
- you want to run 64-bit apps (like Emulators, etc) (the non-Pro tube only runs 32-bit apps)
- you want it to act as a SmartThings hub
- You want to run Plex Media server on it
- You need USB ports for extra storage (no USB ports on the non-Pro tube)
non-Pro [google.com] $129.99
Pro [google.com] $179.99

Oh weird it wasn't showing a discount on the Pro when I posted. I'll update.
Mostly I think it's if you want the USB ports for expandable storage vs SD card, and if you want to run Plex.
I meant is the non-pro noticeably slower than pro model? I wouldn't use this as a server. Just for Kodi, Jellyfin, etc. I have the old Shield in the basement. Thinking about getting this one for bedroom tv.

From what I've read, it's a bit more 'peppy' loading apps. I personally would NOT get the pro unless you want to run Plex server on it.
Thanks.
