Sprint WILL RELOCK your unlocked device as they did to mine. Not a single incident as friends and family of mine got their RELOCKED to the sprint network. We all had unlocked devices when signed up. Now all our phones are locked to Sprint. Thats illegal.
You have to stay for 90 days to keep the $300 and their unlock policy is 60 days, so while I agree they should not be re-locking phones, you can get it re-unlocked after 60 days and before your 90 day requirement is fulfilled.
Thanks! Ordered the BYOD Amazon SIM on Monday and was sitting on whether to switch my Iphone over. I felt a little dirty about going back to Sprint. I left them 4 years ago (after 18 years as a customer) and said I'd never go back.

Glad I did. $300 is better than $100 and I can still port out in a few months. No contracts on the Kickstarter plan. They automatically waived the activation fee by doing it online as well, but after looking at my confirmation email it says there will be a one-time credit of $30 within 3 invoices however that plays out. My first bill will be charged 30 days from today.

I was concerned with the Amazon reviews saying they were sent 4 of the same SIMs, but it worked flawlessly. Over chat the rep told me which one to use. I also asked if I could double down on both the $300 and $100 Amazon SIM promotion, but was a no go. Worth a shot anyway.

Why would it? It makes no difference, there's nowhere in the terms that says you have to keep the same phone activated the whole time
Nor does it say that if your phone breaks you must go without service for the 90 days.

Or what if you lose your phone + SIM? Does that invalidate the rebate so long as you buy a new SIM and activate it as a replacement for the lost phone?

But that's logic. It's always possible that wrongheaded policy wins instead. Still, I'd be surprised if that impacted the rebate.

Totally agree, I think. to clarify there is no written policy that says you have to have the original IMEI activated the entire time. Therefore people assuming that that is the case probably need to have their head checked

I just checked at rebateHQ using Sprint's tracking numbers.
Purchased 5 lines on 4/6 and activated them on 4/7.
Is there any reason I should be concerned with the following data?

Date Received:
04-08-2020

Invalid Reasons:
Missing Is Delinquent
Missing Account Sub Type
Missing Account Type
Missing Channel Code

No worry. Missing items are OK. Invalid items are not.

Just noticed that one of the two accounts have the wrong bill amount. Both are unlimited plus 5 lines for $100. One account has the correct charge of $100 , plus $25.25 tax/fees for a total of $125.25 ( this is in NJ) , but the other account has a charge of $109.33 , instead of $100, so making the total first month charge of $134.83, which is $9.32 more than the other account. Since I have two identical accounts , the charge should be same ? When compare the order summery, I found the different charges on the fifth lines, on the correct charge was minus $10 for Bring / buy discount unlimited plus, while the incorrect charge was minus $0.67. Did this happen to anyone here? Could anyone please let me know what caused this error? Thanks.

It is so horrible that Sprint will change the rules after the fact. It clearly said, purchase by the April 9 and we have 10 days to port the numbers and activate. How can they claim now that we would need to have had activated by April 9. This is so bad and a lot of people will be burned by this.

Alright guys, here's a valuable update for anyone that activated their phones after the promotion end date of 04/09.

I was on the phone & chat for about 4 hours this morning being bounced around from rep to rep, from tmobile to sprint, from department to department, and finally got some breakthrough.

If you activated your phone after 04/09, they denied the $10 credit/line for the unlimited plus upgrade, because they say the promo was only for phones activated prior to the end date. There was a note on my account (they put the note themselves without me calling) saying that the credit was removed because I activated my 5 lines on 04/10, outside of the promotion date.

I huffed and puffed to speak to their supervisor (because how could I possibly activate phones ordered on 04/08 by 04/09?) and after being on hold to talk to the supervisor for 30 minutes, the original rep I spoke to came back and told me the most vital piece of information:

He said he found a very recent communication concerning the BYOD or purchase of a new phone and receive the $300 MC rebate. The communication stated that as long as the sim card was bought or activated prior to the end of the promotion, they will honor the $10/line credit. A "backscript" would automatically credit those accounts for this promotion. I think something like you have until May 9 to activate those sims purchased during the promotion to qualify. I wasn't too sure on that part.

So anyway, I told the rep to identify that communication and place a note on my account with all of that information. The rep said to wait until a few days before the next billing cycle to see if it went through before calling back again. The rep also said he'll give me a call whenever the script goes through.

I'm hoping for the best, but not expecting too much. We'll see....

Marci Carris and her executive team usually solves this kind of problems. You can email or better tweet her, say everything in a nice way and provide your facts and evidences so she doesn't need to go back and forth. Let us know what the result is.
thanks, I used the form on Sprint's website.

I hope she responds.

I called and talked to a supervisor and he compared another account that was billed correctly.

When I told him about the $10 discount per line, he didn't know what it was until I gave him my other account to compare!

It looked the same to him and gave me a $50 credit. He said to call back after the next bill if still not fixed.

I will use it too. We can explain to her what's happening and am sure they can do something. Should be easy to fix once her team gets involved. The more people who will email her, the better and faster she will remedy the situation. We can attach screenshots so we can let our case clear as water. Like my cousin Vinny arguing Bill's case! 😄

Since the SIM needs to be activated within 10 days of being delivered, the last date to activate it and qualify for the $10/line credit would be around April 22 (last order date Apr 9 + 2-3 days for delivery + 10 days to activate).

Going by that logic, if someone bought LG or any other phones on the last day and activated it after 9th April, they should be good too

I would suggest submitting the contact form about the "Invalid Activation Date" error to the appropriate executives. I would start with the Senior VP of Customer Care.

I purchased the plan on 4/9 (morning) and activated sim on 4/12.
Shows "Invalid Activation Date"
Quote from JakeW3302 :
I am getting invalid activation date... purchased on 4/8. There was an issue with the port-in and I had to call, they made a new order for the port but it was on 4/11. Of course I cannot submit the rebate since the date is beyond promotion.
The person on the phone specifically said I was still eligible for $300 promotion since order was initially placed before deadline (4/8).

Purchased on the 09th and activated on the 13rd. Got invalid activation date on all of them after 3 hours

I believe I have the same problem as you, I've contacted rebatesHQ and they said the rebate is invalid due to the activation date showing 4/10..I had my order placed on 4/9 around 10AM PST

I have the same thing. You think its necessary to resubmit at this point? How long do you have to submit. I was thinking of giving it some time and maybe it will update on its own.

My brother registered for his $300 promo yesterday after he completed the port in and activated his numbers, phones were purchased on the 6th....on rebateshq site his Invalid reasons are:
Missing Is Delinquent
Missing Account Sub Type
Invalid Activation Date
Missing Account Type
Missing Channel Code

Does he need to worry about or do anything about Invalid Activation Date?
Quote from samma :
I signed up two accounts for this Sprint promo on 4/8 and 4/9, with 5 lines on each account. All 10 numbers had been ported in successfully on 4/9 and 4/10 respectively.
Quote from cardboardbox :
Just checked my account that was activated on 4/10, somehow my monthly bill is 150 for 5 lines U+, it goes 70, 10, 10, 10, 50! Of course the email and my screenshot show $100.

Please let me know if you find out anything about how to get this fixed.

Also my rebates all show Invalid Activation Date. What a mess!

I'm sure there are a lot more of us. Let's storm the castle!!!..... But in a nice and dignified way.....with finese. Please don't mention slickdeals...
Let us all email/contact Marci. so this can be resolved.

The above is all I can find for those that activated after 4/9

I agree. They should be good for the $10/line discount. It's still a fight for them to get the $300 GCs.
