lenovo.com [lenovo.com] has Lenovo Smart Display 10" with Google Assistant on sale for $99.99 after coupon (SNEAKPEEKT1) + tax and free shipping.
Missed the previous expired deals on this smart display posted recently and I had rewards points that were expiring at end of June. For me, after rewards discount, it came out to $41.45 shipped

That it is wired it helpful so the olds don't move and lose it.
Bought this, kept dropping wifi, kept rebooting, screen kept going off, had to unplug- eventually just stopped working altogether.
Bought one of those JBL Link things, and while the screen isn't the best, the sound is very good, and that's all I really cared about anyways.
Really depends on what you are looking for. If you are comparing it to the JBL Link View or you are an audiophile looking for a premium listening experience, then yes, sound quality will be lacking. If you are comparing it to the Google Home Hub, it will be a great improvement in sound quality.
I've actually got my Google Home Hub set to default to a premium speaker to play music through via Bluetooth instead of its own speakers. All of its responses to questions/commands come through the Hub speakers but any content played defaults to my premium speaker. You can change the default music player in the device settings within the Google Home app for any Google Home device in your home. This could be a solution for those looking for a more premium listening experience... But 95% of people are going to be just fine with this device's speaker

When you setup a home group the lag when setup like this sucks though. It's only a good solution for a single stream
