For example, if you met the minimum spend for the sign up bonus in the first month the card was opened, the statement closing date was probably October or November 2016. If you met the minimum spend in the 3rd month that the card was opened, then the bonus may have been awarded in January or even February - again, depends on the statement closing date. You can check your first few statements in that account to know for sure.

Good question. Also, what if you wife was an authorized user on a card that you got a Sapphire bonus in the last 12 months. Is a Sapphire bonus for you within 48 months held up against a wife (authorized user on that card), applying on her own?
You can also pre-pay your taxes - though it will cost 2% - but I would lose 2% anyday to make $800ish.
The only other offers that I may be interested:
125K points for Amex ($550 fee)
100K points for United ($525 fee)
But 80K miles for $95 is a lot better.
2. Totally different question: If I have a Dec 2020 renewal date on my Sapphire Reserve, as an example, new fee billed on Dec 1, (meaning the paid membership fee only covered me through Nov 2019), can I use the card for 1 month, get the $300 credit, cancel the card, and get a full refund on the membership fee (starting 12/1)....a double dip so to speak.???

2. How do you convert United miles to AF miles at 1: 1.5???? Also I don't follow your math for the 100K united miles and how you are left with $65 and effectively no annual fee.

I received my 100k points sometime in 2016 but have no way of finding exactly when, without some hassle. So if no one is eligible at this time, I won't waste time finding out - I'll just wait a few months and hopefully this promo will still be there.
