There is misinformation about RAM and processor on TMobile (865+) and Amazon (8GBRAM) website.
For anyone if matters, this link has better view of Specs on S20 FE:

Get a $70 Samsung Credit (for pre-orders 9/23 to 10/1). [samsung.com]
When you can trade in your phone directly the store:
- Regular purchases in the store AFTER the phone has officially launched
Negatives (for this deal): No one knows when this trade-in deal expires. It could potentially end on Oct 2nd, but hopefully later. If it is still alive on Oct 2nd, get to a store ASAP to purchase it. If the store runs out of stock, youre back at square one and must mail in your trade in.
Loss of $200 hookup discount, potential loss of $70 samsung.com preorder credit.
When you HAVE to mail in trade ins:
- Preorders in the store
- Preorders online/phone/chat
- Orders after launch online/phone/chat
- Orders (after launch) in store IF that store has run out of stock.
Negatives: longer waiting period of acceptance of trade in. Higher scrutiny of trade in
please be aware of scams. Be smart. If a random account offers a code but you have to pay them first, don't do it.

Yes, tiny text looks poorer due to the lower resolution and noticeable coming from a s8 through s20. Make sure you are happy with such a screen.

Because this will be a living document, I created a Google Doc for ease of updates: https://docs.google.com/document/...sp=sharing
Note: I am not a T-Mobile employee and this is my first-time doing a trade-in with a Hookup code, so I am learning alongside most people here; thus, my guide may not be fully accurate. Feel free to make suggestions for corrections if you notice any mistakes or parts that lack clarity. And if you found my guide helpful, please post a response here just so I know and will continue doing these. Thank you.
I hope this helps,

Or get one free via bill credits when you add a line.
THIS STACKS WITH THE $200 HOOKUP CODE! Remember, only one Insider Hookup code per account, whether it's the 20% or the $200. See here for details on that promo. Please do not ask for hookup codes in this post.
Please note: This WILL NOT stack with the free line. The free line ends 9/24, and this phone promo begins 9/25. There is NO WAY to get this phone for free using the free line. Please don't bother support trying to do it.

Click the magenta text at the top of the page to see the offer for $500 off. Must be logged in to see the offer. To see the "free with add a line" offer, open in incognito. Please note the $500 off page currently says "when you add a line and trade in" but the adding a line part is a typo and not necessary.

Now debating about trading in a S8 and using the type 3 code. Since i have other lines i could do this deal so 2 rebates aren't coming from the free line.
I do have the hookup 20 percent for a couple of years. From what i can gather it should be ok to use the type 3, is this correct?
I do understand once its used can't use it again on the account later down the road.
I tried reddit and discord to no avail.
The only way to have Tmobile complete the trade in in the store is if you go to the store on launch day and buy the phone then. They will inspect and complete the trade in there. Benefit of this is that they are less strict than if you were to send it in. Downsides - you lose out on the $200 hookup discount because this phone launches on October 2nd, hookup ends on Sept 30th. You also likely lose out on the $70 samsung.com accessory credit since terms state its for preorders only.
There is NO reason to risk yourself to covid by going into the store right now for a PREorder, theres no benefit at all - just call, purchase online, or chat to complete the order. At least with the latter, they may be able to waive the $20 upgrade fee

The TLDR is DO NOT go preorder in the store NOW. You wont be able to do the trade in the store period, they will defer it and you will have to mail it in
When you can trade in your phone directly the store:
- Regular purchases in the store AFTER the phone has officially launched
Benefits: Less scrutiny on trade ins. Note: I have heard stories of accepted in-store trade in and later denied trade in due to water damage and other issues the employee glossed overNegatives (for this deal): Loss of $200 hookup discount, potential loss of $70 samsung.com preorder credit
When you HAVE to mail in trade ins:
Benefits: $200 hookup discount, $70 samsung.com credit
Negatives: longer waiting period of acceptance of trade in. Higher scrutiny of trade in

What if the store damage the phone by spilling water on it, it can not be my customer.fault.

I think there's a couple hundred people with tickets already waiting in line but he expects to get 500-1000 codes so everyone should be ok.
Oh, and anyone trying to get T-Mobile to give them one, don't tell them "Type 3" code. Jman made up that name to distinguish the three (at the time) versions of hookup codes and many TM people don't know what you're talking about. For Type 3 you need to tell TM that you want a code for the "$200 for existing customers" deal.
