How would it be for the son to play fortnite ?
Nope. Fornite needs a gaming laptop, or at least one with the Ryzen 4500U or greater.

Touch screen?
Is this a bit like a Chromebook, like what the kids are using for "distance learning" now?
I have one, and it is a great computer for online learning, all kinds of online stuff, but know that the internal memory is pretty much used up with Windows, other software, cache memory, etc. Not a ton of space in 128GB. So in that aspect it could be similar to a chromebook. Full size keyboard, 14' screen, definitely worth $149, even $200+.

thanks. i bought one. good back-up if the Dell Chromebook craps out. The Dell Chromebook does not have num locks keyboard, is not touch screen and is tethered to the school so i have no administative rights (can't add programs)... so for over half off, the Lenovo seems like a good idea.

I've tried every single time since 4pm PT, within seconds, nothing. I've been trying to get 1 TV and 2 separate laptops, for 1.5 hours and couldn't get a single one of anything. And I even tried on mobile too. I'm now officially boycotting Walmart.

Can anyone tell me if this will play Minecraft, Roblox and Among Us? My 10 year old just wants one to play these. She doesn't need anything spectacular. I originally got the HP 14" Chromebook *4Gb and 32 GB storage) from Target (figuring Minecraft wouldn't work) but I was thinking I should return it and get this. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Got one, no issues. Anyone know if upgrading the ram would be worthwhile for this class machine? It's for Mom, will only be used for browsing, YouTube etc.
Should be good for web stuff, youtube, etc
Only 1 stick of ram and it is soldered in. Maybe can find ram to replace it, attempt only if you know someone who is good at soldering.

For casual web use, probably be ok if she doesn't have a lot of browser tabs open.

for those of you who say "omg .3megapixel for the camera, what nonsense is this?" I would like you to read the following zoom message:
"For the time being, standard video, not HD video, will be activated when 3 or more participants join a group meeting. HD video (720p) will be activated for 2 participants or when a Zoom Room or Conference Room Connector joins a group meeting. HD video (1080p) will only be activated for selective use cases such as large format broadcast events. ". Also this:
"Group HD will activate 720p video quality for the active speaker video layout in a group meeting."

Which pretty much means that anyone using this for distance learning, will be at 480p. If your teaching, and are the active speaker, you probably will have a second camera or a share screen- and that will be the part at 720P; the 480p camera would just be the little tiny box.

As far as ram goes, its 4gb, that is supposed to be soldered. If there is still an empty slot at the bottom, all we would need is a 4gb chip to move it to 8gb, and allegedly *may* run in dual channel. (though 12 is supposedly douable)

128gb should be good for the core stuff- stick a micro SD in the slot and we should be golden. However in the other 3's, there appears to be space for a standard sata drive.
