So what are the cons? It's not thin, nor light. The camera is hot garbage to me, but the wife uses it for Zoom and hasn't complained yet, so there's that. The screen is ... meh. I mean, our phones have better screens, and I'll bet a $150 phone might as well. At first I was concerned about the 4GB of ram, but honestly, it hasn't been a problem YET. I'm sure, in the future we'll have to revisit this. I would like an ethernet jack, but it's hard to tell because they only use them in the house and we have good wi-fi. If we go on vacation, it might be a different story. Also, 128GB of storage is nothing these days. You will run out fast if you have a lot of media. But this problem isn't exclusive to this particular model, as the majority of laptops are in the same boat. So add the cost of external storage (SD card, external drive, cloud) to the overall price. Finally, the battery life is not good. You'll have to pay more to start getting decent longevity.

The upgrade process is pretty easy. More than one video has already been posted in this thread you can watch for pretty detailed steps on how to swap the NVMe drive. One of the more recently linked videos even walks you through the process of moving the standoff from the shorter position to the longer position.
If you are going to put in an unformatted drive, then you'll need a bootable USB drive with the Windows installer to install Windows clean. The other option is that, if you have an external case for the NVMe drive, you can clone your exiting drive to the new one before installing it and then just boot off the new NVMe drive and the existing Windows install after the swap (that's what I did). Then you'll have to either expand the Windows partition to use the full drive space (or you might be able to do that during or after the cloning process).
The most difficult part of the process might be removing the bottom of the laptop, and that's also pretty easy as long as you are careful to pull up the edges all around the case before trying to remove the bottom lid.
Also make sure to discharge any static electricity and/or ground yourself before touching the components. Don't work on electronics when on a carpeted surface, especially in cold and dry weather when it is easy to build up a static charge.

Thanks Darkon. That's actually the drive I have in my cart. I think I found that in one of your previous threads. I cracked the case to put a ram stick in. It was a bugger but like you said once you get it started it's easy. Thanks again for the help. Repped.
Mine was just delivered 5 minutes ago. There was no tracking info on the website - apparently the local store grabbed on from inventory and they sent some dude in his car to drop it off on my porch. I guess that works.... I'll fire it up and make sure it's not DOA.
Took a few days to get but insalled a Crucial 16GB 260-Pin DDR4 SO-DIMM DDR4 3200 (PC4 25600) and shows 19.8GB of 20GB available.

$300-500 range and trust me, there are plenty of those options with great CPU, RAM, webcam, etc.
If you don't want this laptop, move on already, no one is making you try it. But none of that makes this an usable machine or a poor choice for me or many other people. I didn't expect a world-beater, and it has greatly exceeded my expectations.
How would you get it free if it's late? My Amazon Prime deliveries are always late, do I need to call in to complain?
Thats the one I got. Ordered Monday night and estimated delivery is today but i haven't received a shipped notification yet. Will post update once I receive and get it installed. Was quite happy to have found that listing; was going to order the 4GB version of the Crucial mentioned in this thread but noticed it was 1Rx8 configuration which means 8 chips on ram stick. The laptop's existing ram is 1Rx16 which means 4 chips and this stiick matches that configuration; and it's cheaper! Not sure if the x8 config would have caused any performance issues in terms of enabling dual channel mode but it doesn't hurt to match configs with whats existing on the laptop.
