Just ordered a set for my sister off Amazon. $99 with 10% back on your Amazon Prime credit card. Like a lot of women, she prefers 12V tools over the 18V. Smaller, lighter and fits her hand better.
Please don't TD these just because you can't rationalize a specialty set vs a cheap 18v. Guys in the trades use these all the time and love them. Granted, I'm in the milwaukee m12 sets now.
I have both Makita and Milwaukee in 12v and 18v and will usually grab a 12v first just because of the lighter weight. In my opinion Makita feels like a slightly higher quality tool when compared to a similar price bracket Milwaukee.
Except Ryobi 18V is lower quality, more expensive, and weighs more.
This set is not intended to do all the things an 18V set will, but if you do a lot of repetitive tasks and don't need the power of big tools, life is better with smaller and lighter.
I have a LOT of cordless tools of most brands, but my older 10.8/12v pod-style Makita impacts and drills are still my go-to for almost everything around the house. They're extremely useful for such a small form factor and refuse to die.
This is sold by CPO Outlets that I would avoid based on my last experience.
Bought a refurb Makita drill & driver kit from CPO when eBay had a 15% off coupon. Kit was missing the batteries. CPO says that's manufacturer's issue and they will address it. It's been three weeks and still no resolution. A seller with no accountability.

I bought a couple of items from CPO and had a similar latest experience - package was missing an item, they deferred to manufacturer (even though they are the seller and it's their responsibility!) and months later absolutely no resolution. So, buying from them is a dice roll.
Or, buy the 18V Sub-Compact Black Friday combo set[homedepot.com], return the extra battery (or set it to store pickup and don't pick it up), and be out the door for $137 for a set of 12V sized tools that use much more widely compatible 18V batteries. Best of both worlds.

Did you do the return on the extra battery or the pickup option?

I returned the extra battery, unopened, after realizing I got way more life out of the 2.0Ah batteries on these brushless Makita tools than on 2.0Ah batteries on the old brushed Ryobi tools they replaced.

My current preference is for Triumph.
