Roku Streaming Stick Plus has stronger Wi-Fi and Voice commands. The Streaming Stick Plus is the best Roku for most people.
Works with HD or 4K HDR televisions and sticks into the back of your TV's HDMI port. A second cable plugs into a USB port to provide power. It has voice search, TV volume and power control, and dual-band Wi-Fi that has longer range and can connect to 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz networks. Before you buy it, check your TV to make sure your HDMI ports have room for the stick.
Roku Ultra adds Earbuds and wired Ethernet
It’s a larger box that supports HD or 4K HDR, and has dual-band Wi-Fi and voice search. It also has an Ethernet port for wired connections, a headphone jack (with surprisingly decent JBL earbuds) on the remote, and a host of other small features like MicroSD support, a USB slot, gaming buttons on the remote, a remote finder, and a night listening mode that quiets explosive sounds.
Ugh... I bought one from Roku.com earlier today after checking on Amazon and it was still $50. Anyone have luck with cancelling a Roku.com order? Amazon's will deliver tomorrow instead of the 5-7 day wait with Roku.
i was just going to post this, great price. I'd imagine several like us will want to post, might want to put in the deal title the price, amd also in the price area. i almost missed it !
This is the same price all over, "official" BF price from Roku, whether you buy it from them, or from "major retailers".
See Staples, Best Buy, Home Depot, Abt, Target, and the list goes on ...
The fact that it was going to be sold at this price starting 11/20, both from Roku and from major retailers was posted here on SD yesterday.
Too bad they dropped the headphone jack on these. I find the Firestick and other Android TV devices have a better menu, less advertisement, and more sideload options, but I haven't used one of these since Roku 3. Also, HBO Max is still not on Roku.
It was a Firestick, but it was a few years ago. I feel like it was in this price range. It was probably on sale when I bought it (prime day?)
It was so bad I stopped using it.
If it's so long ago you can't remember, I'm guessing the poor performance is due to the age of the unit. All of the roku and Amazon sticks I have bought the last 3 years still perform fine.

Same price at Best Buy for those that prefer to shop there.
My experience with streaming sticks is that they've been slow and difficult to use. So I've avoided them.
How's this one? Anyone know?
