What Do I Need To Do To Get This Offer?
  • This is a targeted offer from T-Mobile and is only open to select existing customers that meet the following requirement:
    • You must have a qualifying T-Mobile postpaid plan with 2 or more lines that falls under one of the following SOC Codes shown in this image (see instructions below on how to find your SOC code).
      • SOC (Service Order Code): The technical term used to describe plans and services that are added to customers' accounts within T-Mobile's billing systems.
    • If you are certain you qualify, login to your account below and:
    • Alternatively, you may call T-Mobile and a representative can assist you with adding your 3rd line.
      • If calling, promotion name is "2020 Line On Us 4".
Instructions to find your SOC code (thanks to Reddit user massiveprodigy):
  1. Using the Google Chrome web browser (desktop version), open the Developer tools panel on the right (Ctrl+Shift+I)
  2. Click on Network tab
  3. Click on XHR tab
  4. Log in my.t-Mobile.com and click Account at the top.
  5. In developer tools panel, choose manageaccount from the list on the left
  6. Account level promos will appear under accountDiscounts
  7. Line level features will appear under lines > # > addOns
  8. If there is a pending change, you can see exactly what it is by clicking productsPendingChange
  9. Rate plan appears under ratePlans
Can This Be Combined With Other Offers?

Nice. Thanks for mentioning this. Reminded me of Folding@Home that would to the same thing (before smart phones) using a desk/laptop computer CPU to do like things. Lots of people run their machines 24/7 so plenty of processing gets done.

Did your soc qualify? I have simple choice but didnt qualify so they gave all credits and i just said cancel the line. Only downside was i couldn't do any new promos for 90 days - even at Tmo's fault but they gave me a bunch of credits.

Its a "free" line. Just paying taxes. Its good for a family member or to have a spare line. Normally it can be from $10-$40+ a line. So let it sit there and pay $5 in taxes or give to a family member and charge em $5+ or whatever.

Thanks for this. I'm on the same FRLTUL2LP with 3 lines (missed the original 'Line on us' by a week when I first signed up). I've tried a couple of times over the last year or so to get the free lines but have always been told I'd have to change my plan. Since I'm only paying $110 for the three lines, it's not worth changing just to get one free line for the hell of it.

Let me guess, Unlimited Simple Choice NA is not included in the SOC. Come on T-Mobile, I just need one more line. All these other plans that have been allowed for the previous promos don't even pay taxes. My plan would at least make me pay for the taxes of the free line. It makes no sense to keep the $150 Unlimited plan out of these promos.

That's interesting. I have the T-Mobile One plan and they said the max is 12 lines. I'll ask to see if they can do the $100 deposit to get a free 13th line.
