When I first signed up in the summer they said there shouldn't be any issues. But like I said, had to call every other month to get it adjusted. In fact, just had to call yesterday since I was yet again getting charged again for the line and the rep (Mae) told me that there was a "system error" and I should not have this problem again. I feel like the last 3 or 4 reps told me that 🤞
That seems a bit longer then usual to have this squared away. I would contact the executive office.

I'm trying to move my wife from her family plan onto my family plan. Both on tmobile. Would I be able to use this to effectively add her for free? Or does it have to be a new number?

Quick question. When I got the free line the last time around, I noticed that I got charged for an additional line. When I asked about it, they said it would take 1 to 2 months before I would get credited back for it. Is this really the case? Did everyone get charged initially for it or is it supposed to be free right from the beginning?
Most are free from the beginning. If the promotion ("2020 Line On Us 3" or whichever promotion it was) doesn't show up on the account details page, there's probably an issue.

Remove a paid line that has been on the account for a year, or do I have to wait one year after the free line was added to remove the paid one.

Thanks for the info, I'll definitely look into it and contact Xfinity about my package options if I switch to now without Netflix included. I'll only be able to get guaranteed kickback on one of the lines since I gave the my current free line to my nephew to use so something else I need to take into account.

Also, not sure if you're billing has glitch they haven't caught it but the kickbacks on my account are only $8 per line because they take into account the hookup discount. I think this is the normal thing for everyone with kickback. I can't remember exactly how affects it but I remember I couldn't figure out why and then something just clicked and I figured out they were right and I wasn't getting screwed.

By the way, is there a way to set the dual sim phone to always use data from one line and phone line from another? Or do you have to constantly be switching it somehow?

I also was reading up a bit now and supposedly 5G doesn't work with Dual SIM if you have an iPhone 12. Says you need to turn off the Dual SIM feature to use 5G, then you can switch it back on late to use the Dual SIM feature again.
It's Definitely a lot to consider. No glitch with kickback. They always subtract kickback first from the original plan cost. Then from that total they multiple the 20% discount and subtract that. You might want to look into your bill again. You may need a credit for the $2 difference for all the missed months.

I have an iPhone 11. You can set it and forget it. It's pretty easy to do. You won't have to worry about it switching if you don't set it up that way. There is an option that you can select if you want it to switch - "Allow cellular data switching." Even if you have this on, you don't have to worry about it eating through you data. It's only on for those rear instances where the free line might not be connecting. I have this on and have never run into any issues.

I am not sure about 5G. I have another free line that is in a 5G phone and the speeds so far are not anything great when compared to LTE for me. But, everyone's location and speeds vary.

wish my plan was eligible.. on that 2/100 all in one plus promo plan.. missed out on like 4 lines this year 😭
Doesn't seem to be a deal for you, switch plans maybe? I have five lines for $100 and I am hoping I can add a sixth.

I did this too. Switched from same 2/100 to the 2/120 and already added 2 free lines and will add another tomorrow. I don't have kickback but have hookup so I pay $101 with Netflix UHD
I'm glad I switched. Even though I don't have much use for the free lines, I can hold on to them and give them to friends/family as the need arises. Also, use them for device upgrade promotions. Too much upside.

No that's a change of responsibility. You'd have to get a new number

I'm in the process of doing the exact same thing. I just requested her number to be ported to a Google Voice account. I have a free line from before that has a number already. After it's ported to Google Voice, I will port it back to my T-Mobile account. That's the only way to get it to take place of a free line.

Doesn't it need to be outside of T-mobile for 12 months or something? Can you move them that quickly?
