First account: I added a new 3rd line last week for $20. I ask about the add a line and the rep said the 55+ is maxed out at 3. I ask about the phone promotion for adding the line and she gave me a S20 5G.
Second line: This account only had 2 lines. I was able to get the free line and free S20 5G.
My choices for a free phone: S20 5G, S20 FE 5G, or A71 5G.

You just have to use the google line, not verify anything.

I left Sprint 5 for $100 earlier this year, because it was $135 after taxes. I could be at 7 lines under that prome (2 free) for $100 but that equates to $150 after taxes.
Switched before June FLOU promo announcement. . .now have 7 lines on Magenta for $96. Thinking of upgrading to Magenta plus. . .but that's only $112 taxes included.
Just giving example of how much taxes included helps. Now some grandfathered TMO plans are so low, with kickbacks, and international perks etc. to offset paying taxes, but I think you get my drift for all other situations. . .
if that does not work, politely tell them they are wrong and ask them to see how they can move you to one plus 9-12 lines... or whatever it is called. verify in writing that you will not lose any promos.
or, ask again.

I was able to add the free line and the promotion shows up immediately. It showed up as. 2020 on us 3 with an 80 dollar discount instead of 40 for me for last time. This is just 1 promo code showing a higher amount instead of a duplicate promo showing two 40 discounts.
