What Do I Need To Do To Get This Offer?
  • This is a targeted offer from T-Mobile and is only open to select existing customers that meet the following requirement:
    • You must have a qualifying T-Mobile postpaid plan with 2 or more lines that falls under one of the following SOC Codes shown in this image (see instructions below on how to find your SOC code).
      • SOC (Service Order Code): The technical term used to describe plans and services that are added to customers' accounts within T-Mobile's billing systems.
    • If you are certain you qualify, login to your account below and:
    • Alternatively, you may call T-Mobile and a representative can assist you with adding your 3rd line.
      • If calling, promotion name is "2020 Line On Us 4".
Instructions to find your SOC code (thanks to Reddit user massiveprodigy):
  1. Using the Google Chrome web browser (desktop version), open the Developer tools panel on the right (Ctrl+Shift+I)
  2. Click on Network tab
  3. Click on XHR tab
  4. Log in my.t-Mobile.com and click Account at the top.
  5. In developer tools panel, choose manageaccount from the list on the left
  6. Account level promos will appear under accountDiscounts
  7. Line level features will appear under lines > # > addOns
  8. If there is a pending change, you can see exactly what it is by clicking productsPendingChange
  9. Rate plan appears under ratePlans
Can This Be Combined With Other Offers?

I got this last time offered. My bill went up by $8.39/month for taxes on the free line. Unlimited everything so I am cool with that. I now get 5 lines/month unlimited everything for $142.19.

My SOC code is TMESNTL2P. TMESNTL2 qualifies, but do I qualify? When I try add a line on the website, it shows $20/month. Haven't tried calling customer service yet.

Mine was similar with 8 lines. I just changed to 9 line plan yesterday. The new plan starts at $310 for 9 lines before all the discounts. When all the discounts are applied, the new total will be the similar to the 8 line plan since the new added line is a free line.

Sure you signed a paperwork for the free phones but that stipulation also comes with adding a "paid" line. The phone might be free, on 2-3yr credit, but he's going to be paying for that line. Period no way around that. Tmobile learned from their mistske last time. It's been noted/cited that the free line will drop and become a paid line when a "free" phone promo is added. That's how it's setup in the system

My plan is eligible.

When I try to add a line it says $10 due today and $40 due monthly.

Is this correct and I assume I will not actually be charged? Or should it confirm at some point that it is free?

No, you are wrong.. Who said you need to pay for phone? You will forfeit your free line, and end up paying monthly charges. As free phones are based on monthly credits, you can't cancel this line otherwise phone balance is due immediately per the contract you signed. Good luck!!
