It is a glitch in their system. The 8 line plan stacks the discounts correctly, while the 9-12 line plan does it from the last line. Not only that, it discounts all lines at $30. That's different from the plan breakdown. Hence, most people will see big drops in the plan total. Don't know if it will stick though. Have to wait until the new bill generates.

This is the plan breakdown for 9 lines+

$75+$55+$25+$25+$25+$25+$25+$25 (8 Lines) = $280 Before autopay
$280 - $40 = $240 after autopay

$280 (8 Lines) + $30 (9th Line) = $310 for 9 Lines before autopay
$310 - $40 = $270 after autopay for 9 lines.

So, the discount for 9th line should be $30, and $20 for lines 1-8. Instead the 9 line plan shows a discount of $30 for all free lines. That is why you are seeing a big drop in your plan total.

Repped for making me Sad Frown. I was exited to see my total drop even after upgrading to 9-12. My new bill will show up tomorrow . Lets see what happens. And you are right they did $30 to all lines that is why its dropped lol. Great info thanks.

Ah well, the phone is being overnighted. I'll keep it sealed and ready to ship back.

Once the next bill comes in I'll just go over it and talk to them about keeping only the Line on Us promo rather than the device promo if it looks incorrect.
How does that work ? Don't you only have 14 days to return the phone ? And by the looks of it, the free line can get charges for 2 months and will get credited later. One option might be to see if the free line discount "2020 Line On Us 4" shows up on your account once you activate the SIM / line?

This worked for me! I have a plan that originally came with a 3rd line free, then in the spring they offered another "Line on Us", which gave us 4 lines and with this promo, we know have 5 lines and are only paying for 2 and we get free Netflix and some other services. This year we also got an Apple Watch SE for $199 and an iPhone 12 Pro for about half off. T-mobile is doing what they can to lock me in for life!! 2020 has been a dumpster fire, but I appreciate T-mobile looking out for EXISTING customers and not just making all of their deals for new customers.
T-mobile does have some decent perks and offers for existing customers. However, before you gush too much over this company, understand that they are doing all of this so their subscriber numbers look impressive, which reflects well for their stock.

There are two Galaxy A71 promotions right now. One you can get for free Galaxy A71 (2020 Samsung Activate P12) this one is not eligible with the free line. The other one where you get 50 % off (2020 Samsung Activate P9) might be eligible with the free line. Just ask on Twitter which one is and save the information.

Did a quick search but didn't find it.
I'm assuming "Sprint" Tmobile customers who still have their Sprint plan are not eligible?

I'm happy with my SWAC Sprint account, but could use a free line heh.

Hmm, you may be right.
I'll just call them now and save the trouble.

My last free line showed no charges immediately, but the one before did take 2 months.

To me they did not give it for free but at a lower rate of $20, so total $90 for three lines. You are looking for a free line

Sorry to bust the bubble. The discounts are not applied in the right order either, hence it is all over the place.

so now on Magenta PLus and Meganta , TMobile only covers $8.99. If you get premium HD then you need to pay additional $7/month. Thats what I have on account. Is that correct?
