CSR seems really confused about this stacking with the "3rd line on us". I wish they were better informed.

I got my free line. I had a sim card and called T-Mobile and line was added. No additional fees/charges.

The only thing is that I see the -- $40.00 2020 Line on Us 3 (Additional Lines) - for 2 free lines.. And not the 4 Line on Us???

I don't think I saw anyone posting that have seen the correct promo added, right?
Correct. What you are seeing is accurate just like everyone else.

You can't use a tablet line for a hotspot. However you can find some modems that are not sold by T-Mobile that you might be able to use a voice or tablet line and it works.
Is there one you know that works?

Did it increased your bill by another $20 by changing to SCFUTT6 . SCFUTT6 is 6 for $120 plan the one I have now is 4 for $100. I don't want to pay extra $20 to get free line. I can get on my current plan for $10 a line. Same problem for me not able to upgrade for unlimited or free lines
I have 6 lines before for $119. It stays the same at $119.

@dishguy

Thanks for responding. Appreciate your replies.

I was in the same boat two months ago with the limit to 4 lines SC plans. Then got hold of nice rep who moved me to SCFUTT6 legacy plan without getting rid of my fam stateside intl feature. The only problem is she couldn't apply SCUNL2HHS line-level soc to bump unlimited data on a few of the lines for $20 each. I wouldn't mind paying extra for unl data on few lines. My account is 13+ years.

The SOC you got applied for bump unlimited data was sweet! Do you remember by chance which add-on SOC you asked them to apply to bump unlimited data?

Another option is if you can take a look at Inspect page when you login to your T-Mobile account. It should show all the SOC for your account and Add-On SOC.

We will be grateful if can get us the SOC from your Inspect page in Edge or Safari.

I will try texting today 611 to try SOC from line 78/122 of xls.

Thanks again for your help and posting link to the xls
Wow, you were able to do a plan change and keep the fam stateside? Now you have me thinking...

Cool, it doesn't matter what they want to call it, as long as it's free

i had att before tmobile and i have been with tmobile for 6+ years now. compare to att, tmobile is so much better. unlike att want to get you off the phone asap, tmobile experts actually want to to help you solve the problem/issues. most of the experts i called in know their stuff. never have any issue that they didnt took care of it within mins. i went from grandfather plan to magenta, and yesterday from mangenta2 to magenta9 without any issue all credits show up and my monthly actually drop $10 due to the error on their end.
Whats the difference between magenta2 and magenta9?

yes, it happens to be the one of lifetime events..lol..you know. They asked me to move to T-Mobile One unlimited so many times but two months ago during the last free line promo I hit the snag where couldn't add another free line due to the limit on old SC plan. The rep was a veteran, I told her I don't want to lose fam intl stateside grandfather feature. She told me she is from those days 2014 I think when this feature was launched for only a few months. She moved me to new max of 10 lines and after moving, I went to Inspect page and can see the fam intl feature still there. So all in good.

I have 8 lines total out of which 4 are free including yesterday promo. Still have room for 2 more lines.

Here is the desc. of SC legacy plan. Came from her. So she knew what she was doing.

Simple Choice Legacy Voice plans - closed 7/15/15
Line 1 - $50 – SOC: UTTVN / Simple Choice VAL UnlTT+D
Lines 1-2 - $80 – SOC: FUTTVN / SimpleChoice Val FAM UnlTT+D
AAL lines 3-5 - $10 - ADDUTTVNC / Simple Choice VAL AAL UNL T+T
Lines 6-10 - $120 – SOC: SCFUTT6 / SC FAM UNL TT+D 6 lines incl.
AAL lines 7-10 - $10 AAL - ADDLINE20 / Family Unl TT+D AddALine

Anyone know how to use a tmobile voice line for its data in a hotspot device? Someone mentioned it earlier but I can't find anything online. Just the opposite, that tmobile throttles the data to 256kbps when used in a hotspot

I also have the same question. But from what I read, the magenta2 is capped at 8 lines and magenta9 is capped at 12 lines. I am at 8 lines right now and planning to go to costco to add the line and get the free Samsung A11. I am just worried adding a line will change my plan to MAGENTA9 and mess up all the free lines that I currently have.

T-mobile has turned crooked just like the big phone companies they were opposing,. Even though I qualify for this promos based on the plan and even confirmed by Customer Service raps, they refuse to add Free Line, because I already am getting " a good deal" on my account. They would be happy to add line if I do however change plan to more expensive plan.

Any suggestion on decent family plan or pre-paid, MVNO alternate?
Not sure...why they are getting into all that...all you have ask them is to add a line...nothing else...

magenta2 is the normal magenta with 8 lines maximum.
magenta9 can have up to 12 lines maximum. Usually one will upgrade to magenta9 after reaching 8 lines by calling t-mobile.

I don't know if there are price differences.
