I'm on a simple choice account and last month I was able to get the free line but I saw they prorated me last months and charged me at full this months line including taxes and fees. The rep told me, it takes 2 billing cycles for it to be discounted, so he credited me the charges including the taxes and fees. He also told me that I will still be charged taxes and fees every month, which of course I was upset about since the rep who signed me up told me that my bill would NOT change. Now, with this new free line, i get another rep and she told me that she is 100% sure that there would NOT be any taxes or fees charges when the discounts are applied. Anyone know the correct answer to this?
For simple choice, you will pay taxes and fees on the free account.

For the newest magenta plan, people do not need to pay taxes and fees on the free account.

See, that's what I thought. This rep literally said she was 100% sure that taxes and fees would be taken care of as part of the free line, over chat. I don't get why it's so hard for companies to give CLEAR information to their customer service reps.

The reps are very confused and will regularly give conflicting information. I have a chat where over a period of one day I was told five different billing amounts because the reps couldn't understand the promos. And it culminated with a high-level? account rep saying that the person who set up the account screwed up and it is unfixable :/

I added a free line on 12/23. (2 paid, 1 free). My bill went up $20, but tmobile said when I get my sim card activated it will show discount. I'll see what happens when I get my sim card.

you are on the t-mobile One unlimited 55+ correct? Also have you spoken to any reps about the free line?
Yes, T-Mobile ONE Unlimited 55+. I called t-mobile to set it up. The new line is on my account.
"New line XXX-XXX-XXXX was added to your account on 12/23/2020 at 01:45 PM . This line is on the T-Mobile ONE Unlimited 55 3L plan"

UPDATE: Received my sim card 3rd (free) line working. It still is not showing "free line discount" on my account. I called t-mobile, they said it is free and will show on next cycle. I added free line on same day I paid my bill (12/23), new bill will be available 1/7.

Read the wiki re Costco A11 + $100 deal. Costco phone rebates are via gc not eip.
Is there a confirmation(from someone with posted bill) that Costco $100+A11 is indeed stackable? System would usually check conflicting promos etc., when bill will generate. Although, there was no mention/indication that last month's TM BYOD is not valid for lines added at Costco, most of the folks are getting denial, with a reason that lines added at Costco are not eligible for the rebate.
I hope this is not the case, but since TM can't deny promotions received from third party/Costco, but they can deny free line, saying it was added from/through non approved channel. I have not seen a single flyer from Costco, remotely indicating free line.

i am on FRLTULFM2 now. i was able to get my existing add-ons, One Plus Promo and Kickback to carry over to the new plan.
Did you make the change in the last few days? If so, mind sharing what you said for them to make the change? Was this through Twitter, Messenger, text or just regular 611 call? Also approx what time you contacted them?
I'm sorry for asking all these questions just trying to figure it all out. I've been trying but no luck with reps willing to make that change for me.

So how did you approach the Tforce, how did you ask them to switch you and move all your addons because for me they just offer me Magenta plus SOC: MGPLSFM to keep what I have and get free line.

Men that will move me from $100 to $140 Confused I guess no free line for me so far
Would like to know the same. I could've sworn that I saw comment from someone with a screenshot of their conversation with T-Force but some how I can't seem to find it.

my bill generated today. All discounts at the account level, I don't have LOU4. I converted my 8 lines to 9-12 plan. My bill went up $5 on 8 lines on the new 9-12 plan. I added the free 9th the next day, my promo and cost stayed the same. So I can't tell if I am getting the line free since I am already paying 9 lines base cost after the conversion. Overall the line is still free consider the additional $5 is my tax.

Everything I see online is the same on the bill.

T-Force added my free line on the 23rd. Used old SIM card. On us 4 still isn't showing up yet...
T mobile one plan here . Its been 5days never showed up Line on US 4 in my account. Account shows 30 bucks extra. Glitch is they started charging $30 on Nov free line. The one I added this month shows LOU3 (Additional) line. Well chatted with rep and they confirmed they can see everything fine from their side and next bill will generate with right amounts of discounts. lets see Smilielaugh out loud

I'm sorry for asking all these questions just trying to figure it all out. I've been trying but no luck with reps willing to make that change for me.

This was back in November with the previous free line promotion. I got the change done through the chat on the website at night. Took a couple additional contacting to get my Kickback on a third paid line (I added that line in 2019 and never got around to asking why it didn't have the Kickback and TMO One Plus Promo) and the One Plus Promo on my free line. Those I had better luck with texting 611 as I couldn't always get the chat to pop up through the website.

Everything on the free line for December was done through 611. And again done at night, more so because I am not able to get to it during the day because of work. I did have to text a second time to get the One Plus Promo added to this free line also as it didn't show up right away.

My advice do it at night as that is where my success has been. When you chat or call, tell them what SOC you are on and ask them to move you to another T-Mobile One plan so that you can take advantage of the free line promotion. Tell them what the SOC is that you want to move to. When they move you, and give you the free line, ask them to mirror this free line to your other lines so that all your lines have the same features. If they say its done and you later find that its not mirrored, start another chat or call and ask again to mirror, eventually you will get someone who can do it. I always do better with chatting because when I call for things, be it T-Mobile or other companies, I tend to forget everything I want to discuss.

I was worry about converting my account and add the new line at the same time. The rep also told me there will be $25 increase. I went ahead converted to the new plan first without adding the 9th line. The next day is I see $310 with autopay, aal, lou1, lou2, lou3 with only 8 lines. Then I added the 9th line, the plan and discount remained the same. Basically, I am already at the 9lines plan level so added an additional line is no additional cost. Therefore, I don't think lou4 is applied.
