I activated the fi sim via the fi app in the S20 the moment I received it and installed all the updates then did a factory reset which also deleted the app. While it was booting during factory reset, I took out the fi sim and inserted my main carrier sim and I have not yet received any notification on my credit card of any $600 charges.
My next bill is February 15th. If google deems I have broken the promo criteria, I'd believe I would see it by the next bill. I am extremely confident you can use the phone with another carrier sim as long as the fi sim is not used in another phone. Will report back if I get charged.
As of this comment, I have 6 days left in the promo. I will cancel immediately after.
3rd bill already generated about 2 weeks ago. Same amount for all 3 months so far.
Fi SIM has been in the S20 box since day one after port-in and activation. No $600 charge. No funny emails from Google Fi. Nothing but smooth sailing using my primary pre-paid carrier SIM since I got the phone.
am about to hit my 3 month mark in a few days.
And the answer is no, I have not been charged the $600 promo discount. In other words, I have no broken the promo in any way.

Once my account has "Earned" the promo, I will wait around 12-24 hours before canceling. I'll probably be charged but it's prorated so it'll probably be like $1-$2.

I got the S20. Activated and ported in a burner pre paid number. The day I received the phone, I downloaded the fi app and activated and ported in and waited for all the system updates to complete and did a factory reset and removed the fi sim and used my primary sim.
I just got charged $26.xx for the first months service. No break in promo.
My fi sim has been removed and placed into the S20 box since I removed it.
I have 73 days left on my promo.
1. Activated the phone on 1/12. Made a few calls and sent some texts. Did a master reset and used my Tmobile SIM.
2. Every Few days I would pop in my FI Sim and make a few calls and texts.
3. Kept an eye on the countdown. After 90 days were done the promo moved to earned. I ported the number out on day 91.
I responded back telling them to Google "What is 90 consecutive days from 01/19/2021" and sent them a screenshot of the result...(It says 04/19/2021). Pending response ...
TBH, I wasn't even counting it to the day, it was just dumb luck I saw 3 bills and canceled on the exact day šš¤«
Don't wanna give these guys any reason to deny the $600 discount.
