the only thing wyze v3 has going for it is the water resistant, but that becomes irrelevant if the camera can not perform as expected.
Eufy 2K cam is so much better.

This is incorrect. You can put in a Micro SD card and get continuous recording. The cloud clip storage is the component with a 5 minute cooldown, not the MSD recording. The CamPlus gives continuous recording to the cloud without cooldown and person detection for I think 2 bucks a month, which if you don't want to use a MSD is your option. Eufy doesn't offer any cloud clip storage without pay, so even at a 5 minute cooldown on the free tier Wyze still beats Eufy.
Eufy charges 3 bucks a month for 30 day cloud clip storage to a single camera. That means for 6 bucks a month you could have 3 Wyze V3's on CamPlus with a much better picture and a lower purchase price compared to only 2 Eufy 2k cams.
once you disconnect / it has a connection issue, good luck getting it to pair again
Comparison?
Last time I bought the double pack (a few months ago), I paid $70. I also bought some individuals for $28 ea. a few weeks later. D'oh!
I had several Wyze cams and only use 1 yet, but I'm much happier with the Eufy overall. Both have their quirks, but I'll take the Eufy quirks over the Wyze ones. Eufy offers so much more at no cost, which Wyze charges for.
2K isn't much higher resolution to FHD, but I'll take it! The clarity of these cameras to the Wyze is superior, and prior to their starlight (?) sensor on the WC3, these Eufy blew my WC2 cams out of the water in terms of night clarity and brightness. I don't use IR on these, because Eufy doesn't let you turn off the LEDs and turn on the filter (like Wyze), but the ambient light and no IR is good enough for me.
If Eufy allowed me to record to home base, i would switch over. However since these cameras do not, i will stick with wyze v3 as they are water resistant and work very well. Also I like companies that keep updating their products, which wyze is all about. Not so sure about Eufy.
The overall picture the EUFY wins in clarity but faces and when there's movement, it's much worse.
I have a wyze v2 since 2018 and got 2k pan and tilt last week. Using both outdoors and tried at same location to see the difference. It's night and day. Eufy is amazing. I also have a wyze v3 in hand unopened which I am selling since I don't want to pay for subscription for person detection....
The only issue is person detection is not perfect which is to be expected as I am using outdoor at ceiling level on a fairly wide area... Works better at daytime but since I have a Nest doorbell covering the front so it's fine as nest always works and eufy gives me crystal clear all around recording 24X7 if I have to go back and check an event...
I think wyze v3 will be way better than v2 and starlight at night better than eufy in terms of color night vision but the resolution still matters if you zoom in...
Overall none is perfect but eufy is better than wyze in general if you look at their app especially... Makes it easy to search interesting events unlike wyze.. their app sucks.
My 2 cents

yes, you can put a µSD card in the Wyze and have continuous recording, but the free notifications are still on a 5min cooldown (so you won't get notifications for somebody walking to the back of your house, then the front for instance, you'll have to manually look through the recording.) also worth note, i have many times that my Wyze cameras recording skips large chunks of time... so i miss quite a bit at my front door, which isn't great.
with Eufy, you don't need to pay anything to have remotely available notifications or constant recording, there's no need for the cloud based nonsense. this isn't the case with Wyze, you need to pay to get past the 5min cooldown and have person detection (that sucks, horribly btw.) in the end, when Eufy is on sale, the prices are similar when you factor in the CamPlus package to make Wyze more viable... while getting a better app and much faster/better person detection with Eufy.

Ok so we all have to know - are you constantly playing whack-a-mole with cameras disconnecting or do they all seem to behave? Any reliability difference between v2/v3 so far?
Agree on eufy over Wyze, converted most of mine over. I know it seems maybe a little stupid, but I will always keep a Wyze or two as long as Wyze has time lapse and eufy does not. I have an awesome view and have just dozens of cool timelapses of rain/snow/lightning storms, sunsets, etc.
WISH THE EUFYCAM 2K PRO GOES ON SALE SOON. Also, ordered the 2k Doorbell coming soon. Very excited switching to Eufy
For the one complaining not able to connect to homebase. Not sure why its a problem since its indoor camera with SD card slot. Also, I set the camera to record to NAS RTSP. Excellent feature if you have a NAS. I have test it and its been working flawlessly

Tried out this Eufy cam and was slightly skeptical, but has surpassed all my expectations in every way. Haven't looked back.
