Get 30% back as a statement credit by using your enrolled American Express Card to make purchases online at taxact.com by 04/15/2021. Limit of $60 in total statement credits.
Don't forget to add offer to card in Amex Offers section.
Terms:
Enrollment limited. Must first add offer to Card and then use same Card to redeem. Only U.S.-issued American Express® Cards are eligible. Limit 1 enrolled Card per Card Member across all American Express offer channels. Your enrollment of an eligible American Express Card for this offer extends only to that Card. Offer valid online at taxact.com and through the merchant mobile app. Offer is non-transferable. Limit of $60 in total statement credits per Card Member. The enrolled Card account must not be cancelled or past due to receive statement credits. Any benefit earned from this offer is in addition to the rewards (i.e. Membership Rewards or cash back) earned as part of your existing Card benefits, but your ability to earn spend-based rewards for the purchase will be based on the amount after any statement credit or other discount is applied. Statement credit will appear on your billing statement within 90 days after 4/15/2021, provided that American Express receives information from the merchant about your qualifying purchase. Note that American Express may not receive information about your qualifying purchase from merchant until all items from your qualifying purchase have been provided/shipped by merchant. Statement credit may be reversed if qualifying purchase is returned/cancelled. If American Express does not receive information that identifies your transaction as qualifying for the offer, you will not receive the statement credit. For example, your transaction will not qualify if it is not made directly with the merchant. In addition, in most cases, you may not receive the statement credit if your transaction is made with an electronic wallet or through a third party or if the merchant uses a mobile or wireless card reader to process it. By adding an offer to a Card, you agree that American Express may send you communications about the offer.

there may be others but I have the above and saw it there. Not as much as 30% for this deal but some are picky on their tax providers

Last year the same was $64, minus the amex 30% credit. Wow, great deal.
Mind you, if you sold stock in 2020, then you need the "Premier" tier for Capital Gains and Losses, Schedule D.
I did that a few years ago when we had an income jump, and I wound up owing a big chunk of change, except TT wanted me to pay a penalty whereas TA and HRB said I didn't owe it because of the income change. They all came up with the same big payment - boo for me, but at least it told me it was very unlikely there was an error somewhere.
Same here - been using them the last 7 years but last year ended up costing me $130. Their state file is almost $50. I'm planning to move on unless they offer a deep discount of some sorts. Suggestions (that include rental properties)
He was able to talk to TaxAct customer care and haggle it down to the point that he was paying around $60 for Federal and two State returns including e-filing. He was able to give some excuse about COVID and that the $200-220 something that TaxAct wanted was too steep. The rep immediately discounted it heavily which he paid using his AmEx and got 30% credited back.
TLDR; Don't hesitate to haggle before you settle down to pay for your TaxAct service with your AmEx. You may end up with a slightly or a much better deal depending on who you get.
