Where would the AMD Radeon RX 5600 rank in the geometric mean frames per second (fps) from 9 games at 1080p ultra? (Image credit: Tom's Hardware)

In the chart you posted it shows [email protected] with 8gb, the 5600 on this machine is only 6gb, while the 5600 is faster, less vram is going to make it slower; guessing it will run same as 5500XT +/- @ 51fps.

Just for comparison, this has a slightly less powerful video card and only half the HDD storage than the previous $700 Dell XPS deal with otherwise matching specs.

Non, 1TB HDD not worth it. It will be good to change 256GB SSD to 512GB without HDD to provide some price reduction.

Lukewarm deal here, as others have said.

GPU is arguably a wash with previous 1660 Ti/Super deals. Extra 8gb RAM is 25 bucks. I know because I just sold it from my XPS deal. Extra 256gb ssd is another 25 bucks. So $50 in improved components and $200 increase in price over very recent deals.

I recommend waiting for another XPS deal to come along.

For 1080p gaming VRAM difference of 2GB has almost no effect.

5600xt blows the 1660 in the xps out of the water. It more directly competes with the 2060 and even surpasses it in many areas with the firmware over clock (the card is essentially a 5700 that they governed with 2GB less VRAM and firmware as to not self cannibalize sales of their 5700 at the time). I think the extra 150 compared to the now dead XPS deal is worth it for significantly better gpu, more storage and more memory YMMV.
