I have 805 fico and they decline my Application for Venture credit card and wasted 1 credit check. I won't be applying any Capital one credit card anytime soon.
Call the reconsideration line, could be an error on the app or a typo. Happened to me before
Keep in mind that you'll also get a hard pull from all 3 bureaus anytime you apply for a Capital One credit card.

I signed up and was approved for this offer and spent $500 so I was expecting my $200. Called Capital One and they tell me I never had the offer. I know for a fact I got the offer initially when signing up. Customer service told me nobody there could or would fix it. Good luck to everyone else.
Outside of the bonus, why would anyone use this over a 2% card?
Why would anyone use a 2% card when the Amex Cash Preferred card gives you back 1% on all purchases, 3% on gas/transit services, and 6% back on groceries and streaming services? Sure it has a $95 yearly fee, but that's offset VERY quickly with the 6% grocery rewards. I've already earned $320 in rewards year to date.
In 2021, I earned $621.33 in rewards, minus the $95 yearly fee for a net gain of $526.33 in rewards. I get most of mine from grocery transactions, but it's well worth it

Regarding this card specifically, though, I also got it for the $200 reward last year. I use this card's virtual card number feature for shopping at online stores that I feel are "sketchy". Stores where I want to make my purchase and then lock the card so it can't be used when it's ultimately stolen. It's a particularly bad problem with smaller gunshops that have an online presence. That said, the Citi DoubleCash card for 2% also has virtual card numbers that function similarly. I'm just boycotting citi because they screwed me over.
Yes. Have used virtual card numbers with this before. Be aware limited to just a chrome extension though which is inconvenient for most people who exclusively use mobile devices.
False. You can generate virtual cards on the website or the mobile app too using digital wallet manager. You don't need to use the Eno plugin
Got a call back from tier 3 support they basically kept trying to imply I was lying about getting the offer but I kept proof. Supposed to be getting another call back within a few days but I don't expect anything to change. Live and learn I guess.
I work for a billionaire. I sht you not his credit score is 600s.
You can only increase your credit score by using credit, a lot. A billionaire should not be borrowing money from a credit card agency so therefore, lousy credit rating. Why would he give a hoot.
I think u need to be referred for this, I have capital one and they always send me links to invite my friends and they get this offer. It always works but the link is sent to them with the offer and u get it very fast.
Wish I had seen this when it was 250 back after spending the 500 but oh well. Got approved 800 fico with a 10k limit, all the other people with 800 being denied the score isn't the only thing they look at but Debt to income as well I'm sure just putting that out there.

I think there are a lot of people who lie about their credit score. I do not think you are one of the liars based on your credit limit and credit score. Typically Capital One gives 5k-10K on opening an account. The most reported for Quicksilver is 12K opening line of credit.
It would be helpful for those who get denied claiming an 800+ FICO score to note how long they have had credit according to their credit report. Either the oldest account history or how many years they have participated in the credit system.
I cannot see how anybody with a 740+ FICO score with 10 years or more credit history could get denied for a Quicksilver card.

When was it $250 back for $500 spending?
I think it was last like that in 2021?

Probably the best card that I have (AMEX Blue Preferred). Have gotten $580 in rewards already in the last 9 months.
Got approved for this with a $5k credit line, but hilarious APR at the end of the 0% 15 month term. 26.9% interest. LOL Card will be getting closed right after.
