Some folks find it annoying that dialogue and soundtrack compete against each other with a 2.1 setup.

The 3.1 has a center channel dedicated to voice and IMO makes a big difference in movies, and even regular TV while trying to hear the news, sports, or even youtube dialogue.

great prices. But for the more expensive sound bars, only thing is they (along with the cheaper ones) don't support eARC for uncompressed multi-channel. eARC use: connect ps5 to hdmi 2.1 tv and use earc to pass to soundbar lossless audio. Successors of these soundbars support eARC. Also reason it's being clearanced.

The Q70R supports eARC after firmware update. Grabbed one, have to pick up from 83 miles away but keeping fingers crossed. Surround and Atmos performance on Q70R is rated 2.7 anf 5.6 respectively on rtings Frown so no high hopes

Just canceled my q70r order. Not worth the potential headaches of missing remotes and mounting accessories when I can get a vizio that performs the same for $100 more. The fair condition worries me too since I don't want to deal with scratch and dent speakers.

It ultimately ends up on how much you value your time and if you happen to live next to a best buy where this is in stock.

I'm kind of surprised to see the Polk Magnifi Max on this list and not the Magnifi Mini. I have two of the Magnifi Minis and it is just an incredible sound bar. I've played with the Magnifi Max in store and it definitely kicks it up a notch. Just interesting that they would not have both phasing out at the same time

Taking a shot at the Q70R, $178 for "fair" condition

I was debating between that one or the Polk Audio one, I can find an Excellent for $259 or Satisfactory for $209

The Samsung one, seemed to have more power and better ratings.

Only two 3.1 or 5.1 speakers in my area, ironically both at the same store 103 mi. away, are the first and last listed, the Samsung R650/ZA for $104 and the LG SL10YG for $390, both in satisfactory condition. The new Vizio 5.1 set mentioned earlier at $299 sounds pretty good.

Able to get a "satisfactory" HW-R550 from my store for $73.99. Worth an extra $11 over "fair" price as it supposedly includes all necessary parts, remotes etc.
