I've noticed on past BB open box deals that Rego Park shows in-stock on a tremendous number of items. (Kind of like the Walmart in Suffern NY) I'm curious if they're actually in-stock, or if Rego Park's inventory system total crud.

Agreed 100%. M51a-h6 is virtual atmos - NO up-firing speakers. The major consideration is eArc. I'm waiting for the m512a-h6 with actual up-firing speakers to come out, hopefully by mid March.

I am in the market for a soundbar but for a basement so stuff like this is perfect, but the issue is being open box it's SUPER SUPER YMMV.

Sorry, it's the M512A-H6 which is the replacement. It just hit the market so no discounting yet.

Last time I bought a "fair" receiver, the volume dial was missing, receiver buttons were missing, scratches all over the top and front screen, no remote. It was practically taken from the junk yard. I told them I wanted to inspect the item before they finalize the pick up and they just processed it as picked up while I was inspecting at the counter. Had to fight with manager to remove the return mark on my account since it's tracked by a 3rd party.

Bought another "fair" receiver and it was actually brand new with the original box with a small hole. Opened it and it was brand new with all accessories sealed. Bought 3 years warranty for $20.

Up-firing speakers are not Atmos and will never be Atmos.

The spec calls for down firing speakers.

Anything up-firing relies on your ceiling to reflect the sound, which I can guarantee will never be perfect.

the SL10YG is available at all the stores near me, but the reviews worry me. I am trying to find the Q70R which seems like the best deal of the lot.

Does anyone know what the difference is between the q70r and q70t soundbars? I just got my q80t television and I am trying to figure out if one will work better with the tv than the other, for example q symphony etc. Thanks!
