Sony has nothing to do with this. It's up to the publisher. It's the reason why Crash 4 gets a free upgrade, while Tony Hawk is 10 bucks to do the same.

I'd rather get this for free and not get the (possibly pointless) DLC and play it at 30 fps. It already looked great on the PS4, considering it only came out last year. If you really wanna spend what, $30 to get it for a free upgrade in June thats on you, but for people that wanna play it now and don't care about the frame rate don't sleep on this

From the rumors Ive heard, FF7 Remake part 2 will not be on PS4, theyre trying to move everyone to PS5 and are preparing everyone for it by making the Yuffie DLC PS5 only.

"Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade will be released on June 10 for $69.99. Those who bought the PlayStation 4 version of Final Fantasy 7 Remake will be able to upgrade to the PlayStation 5 version for free, but will still have to pay a separate cost to get Intergrade. Note that Intergrade is not for PlayStation 4, so PS4 users will not be able to play the Yuffie DLC."

The upgrade isn't coming around until June. Sony couldn't have made this more confusing if they tried. As it stands the PS plus version of the game can't be changed to the ps5 version. The digital and physical version can but not if you get it through plus.

I'd still recommend against this deal. There is a lot of time between now and June so I wouldn't be surprised to see the price drop even more before the upgrade hits.

I'm more excited for Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis game. This will have entire compilation of all the games and stories set in the Final Fantasy VII universe (Final Fantasy VII, Advent Children, Before Crisis, Crisis Core, and Dirge of Cerberus)... but why mobile.. why!!!! I'm sure they'll sell by chapters...oh gawd...I'm sure I'll buy all of it....
